Transmission clunk on acceleration

I had no idea what to search for on this problem but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has this going on in their truck since I saw it mentioned in a thread about replacing the steering shafts, so I'm guessing there has to be threads on this. When I'm driving at a slow speed and almost come to a stop then hit the gas pedal, there's a big clunking noise/feeling that I don't know if it's the drive shaft or transmission or what. I need to use the precision of a surgeon when pressing on the gas pedal to not have this noise but it's impossible to do all the time especially in stop and go traffic. I'm hoping it's something I can fix and not one of those things I have to live with. I'm sure someone else has this issue so any help or info as to what it is would be great. Thanks!

Most likely the differential crossmember. The bushing wears out/disintegrates, allowing the bolt to move up and down and have the front diff bang on the crossmember. Look in the Sponsor section under Preferred Chassis Fabrication for an upgraded part.
