That Marine wasn't protecting O from the rain. He was preventing a once proud and free nations tears over what O has done to it, from landing on a terd and further polluting the counry.

Dang guys! Tell me how you really feel.
I was on another site and some guy started playing the race card. He had a picture of a Marine holding an umbrella for Bush Senior and said "Is it ok if the President is white"? What the hell does white have to do with it!? Besides O is half white!!!
Where do I start? The people impeached Nixon for attempting to plant one wire. O has a list of outrageous scandals, too many to mention. What he did to the Americans in Benghazi is inexcusable! Oh yeah... He didn't know about it.....

By the way.....
I was wrong.... The picture of a Marine holding an umbrella for Bush Senior, is not a Marine. The picture is Bush Senior and Gorbachov standing and a Russian Guard is holding the umbrella.
Besides.... I was told by someone that a Marine in full dress should not be holding anything other than our flag, sword, or gun. I'm no expert and not too sure thats true or not. I can't confirm that. I'd like to hear from a Marine if that's true. If it is true, that would be another spit in the face for our country and that Marine.

As for a Marine holding an umbrella in uniform. I have no idea.

Fortunately/unfortunately, the president, as Commander-in-chief, can direct this specific action. One of my coworkers, who is a Marine pointed me to the following:

The Marine Corps, within the Department of the Navy, shall be so organized as to include not less than three combat divisions and three air wings, and such other land combat, aviation, and other services as may be organic therein. The Marine Corps shall be organized, trained, and equipped to provide fleet marine forces of combined arms, together with supporting air components, for service with the fleet in the seizure or defense of advanced naval bases and for the conduct of such land operations as may be essential to the prosecution of a naval campaign. In addition, the Marine Corps shall provide detachments and organizations for service on armed vessels of the Navy, shall provide security detachments for the protection of naval property at naval stations and bases, and shall perform such other duties as the President may direct. However, these additional duties may not detract from or interfere with the operations for which the Marine Corps is primarily organized.

So the umbrella falls under "and shall perform such other duties as the President may direct"

He also advised me that many past Presidents, both republican and democrat, have also performed this same action and if he were given this order from his Commander-in-chief, he would do so with honor, courage, and commitment.

I still think it is wrong to use a Marine or any other member of our armed forces to hold an umbrella, even for the President.

Thanks for the information Big2dabank. I did not know that. That is interesting and I got to agree, anyone of our Military should not have to hold an umbrella for anyone. It's one hell of a symbol to see a Marine standing in the rain while he's holding an umbrella over someone that (I believe) has no respect or love of our Military. It's like a rush for him to have the Military follow his every wish. Color has absolutely nothing to do with it at all. His actions and history has said it all.
Just my 2.75 cents.
I guess, any time now, I might see the drone that has my name on the missle.
