Your HUMMER is valuable!

Apparently, the market for H3s and H3Ts is on the upswing, particularly for H3Ts. After declining the value, they have actually started to increase in price. I expected the bottom to fall out after HUMMER closed. Believe it or not, my H3T Alpha Adventure with 30K on the odo TRADED IN for $30K. Needless to say, I was shocked and it allowed me to afford a Raptor without stressing the pocket book. Most of you love you HUMMERs, so I'm just letting your know that your baby is becoming more valuable :)

Interesting. I know someone posted something similar a while back. Glad to hear that it's still true today.

I believe those T's are going to become extremely valuable seeing theres less then 10k of them around. I hope to get one someday...

My 06 will always be the least valuable out of the 3's and T's seeing it was the smallest motor with the most problems but its ok...the 06s are just the blacksheep of the blacksheep :)

Dunno about the H3, they seem to be depreciating at about the same or a faster rate as Jeeps around here. H3Ts, on the other hand, seem to be selling above what they cost new in 09/10 with the steep discounts GM was giving; $30K is about the basement for a Base I5; Alphas go for $35K+...and thats with 50K+ miles or more. The two H3T Alpha Offroads I've seen were at $40K with 20-30K miles.

I sure wish to hell I'd bought one new! I've essentially thrown in the towel on an H3T...don't really want another "collector car" 4x4; people in that market get anal about most trivial bull**** and make you paranoid about taking for a pizza, let alone wheeling.

I would consider trading my T if I could get $40k for it... That's more than it cost when we bought it!

I agree... H3T's you'll see a big demand for.. it's a unique truck, that many people wanted Hummer to produce originally.

Stock H3's on the other hand are still dirt cheap, I was eyeballing an adventure package truck for 14,000 for a 2nd car the other day.

H1's are creeping up in price since they bottomed out in 2008 or so. Especially low mileage units which are going for near MSRP.

I've never understood why Jeep hasn't offered a pickup for what: 20 years? I think it would be an instant hit.

Same problem that Hummer had getting the H3T had, interference from the dealer networks.

In Jeeps case, Dodge truck dealers didn't want a Jeep truck cannibalizing their market for light trucks. The dealers that didn't sell Jeeps would kick up a stink that the other Jeep dealers in their region were suddenly cutting into their truck sales...

If I had an Alpha T, I would shove it in a corner and start it once a week.

50 years later you'll have a 1/2 million dollar vehicle.

Bebe thats the all original 69 corvette with a 427 That I am trying to buy from an old lady right now husband did. Never really see old trucks go for anything even the rare ones. Jeep fc 4 doors dont go for lot. Even if i did put the truck in a corner I would probally die and my wife would sell it for cheap.

My rig is invaluable, meaning that I'm not selling it, period. If something happens to it, I'll be getting another H3/H3T. I plan to drive this for as long as I can find parts for it.

It all comes down to Supply & Demand. (finally get to use my Economics degree :))

Because there are no new Hummers that can be supplied the demand can only be satisfied through used Hummers.

As long as demand is greater than supply the price will go up until supply = demand.

Wonder what the value on CE's will be in the years to come? We got ours for less than a normal Alpha Offroad.

mine has been placed in the hands of the wife so the km/miles don't escalate (and it is still broken until i get over there to get a new engine!)

BW, that's what I'm wondering. Talk about limited production...might have to get one with less than 7500 miles on it, store it in the RV garage & start it up once a week, like Bebe suggests...hmmm. :shifty:

Mine's not a Hummer, but I think the same way for most of my vehicles. Though, with my current truck I think I may just replace whole vehicle systems if I can't find parts (no more 6.5TD parts? I'll drop a Duramax into it...).
