If I had an Alpha T, I would shove it in a corner and start it once a week.

50 years later you'll have a 1/2 million dollar vehicle.

Why not pay me the half mil now? Double it for the slant back and heated seats

My rig is invaluable, meaning that I'm not selling it, period. If something happens to it, I'll be getting another H3/H3T. I plan to drive this for as long as I can find parts for it.

EXACTLY! Anyone who would consider selling theirs for Any amount of money, even $20k more than they paid, is not a REAL Hummer fan.

When I stopped into 2 ford dealers earlier this year to look at Raptors I was driving the H3T. Apparently this vehicle is so rare that even car dealers have never heard of it or seen one in person. Most dealers didn't even know it was a Hummer. But I do know one thing, they wanted my truck and badly. Mind you I never brought up the issue of exactly "how" I was going to purchase the vehicle, they assumed (incorrectly) that I was going to trade in the T for a shiny new raptor. But I do agree that the H3T appears to hold it's value amazingly well. In fact I am deciding if I want to keep driving it every day or just park it next to the H2.

In this area, there are still plenty of deals to find in H1's though and I have seen more H1's on the road than 3T's.

I have never viewed a car as an investment. I have driven every vehicle I have owned (except all the GM J-bodys I bought for parts but that is a different story). Even if I had a collector car, I would still want to drive it places.

My wife had a problem with spending the money we did on the H3 but I feel good about it. It has been too fun to even think about selling it. I will be keeping it until it is no longer able to be driven. Besides, it probably isn't worth much in the condition I have it now.

That's exactly my philosophy. I drive my 1942 Willys at least once a week. Same with my 69 el Camino. No plans to sell either, let alone the H3!!!!

Agree. My '71 Corvette LT1 was a daily driver - even in winter. My '88 Reatta was a daily driver for 18 years - even in winter. Same with the Hummer. Not much enjoyment for me watching them sit in the garage. I'll let others save their vehicle for me when mine wears out.

To me, the best thing about the Hummer is also what it was criticized for - being a mall crawler. I say great!!!! Keeps 'em nice for the used offroad market.

Just looked at private party on my truck... it's 2k+ over what I paid for mine, with 15k more miles on it.

Seems kinda odd. (I won't complain though)
