Cranked t-bars to 23" with 285's.


Cranked t-bars 23.5", Bilstein 5100, extended bumpstops, and 315/75/16 mud grappler's.

nice fab, liking the winch mount/bumper your making but I agree those pointy hooks look like a diaster waiting to happen. GM did those D rings right...

Looks good man, ďidnt even see the winch plate in the first round of photos! The one problem I see is that you slightly increased approach angle with the new bumper, but those hooks negate anything gained

Thanks guys, the hooks can easily be swapped out for any 2" accessory or completely removed for a better approach angle if needed since they mount in standard 2" receiver tube.

Big update, the Alpha is now running 37x13.50x20 trail grapplers on 20x10 gear alloy big block wheels. Also got the winch on as well as a lot of trimming.

Wow man, I haven't seen a lot of the mods you've made. The tow hooks, the 80mm ammo can? You are really thinking out of the box. Love it! Especially courageous modifying the bumper. No turning back after you start cutting into it.
I'm curious what product you used for your ammo can, bumper and upper body plastic trim. Mine needs to be redone and I'm trying to weigh options. I was thinking of a Rhino-liner style covering but it's really expensive and I like how yours looks AND it looks like it's going to wear well.

Thanks! I try to be as creative as I can when I come up with stuff and I have quite a few more things planned. As for what I used on the ammo can and trim it is herculiner which was dabbed on with a brush rather than brushed on.

would you ever think about doing fenders using the dab brush method? I want to do my fenders (possibly hood) and redo my grill with something much better than those cans of bedliner but I'm not sure if I should save up for a kit like raptor liner with a gun or try using herculiner with a brush

It would be a little time consuming but is the best way to go if you don't have a air compressor, currently all the trim, bumpers, outer frame, and wheel wells have been done this way. Prep is key. I've heard good things about raptor liner as well though, but I can't personally compare the two.

I'm probably going to give it a shot on some smaller things like trim first and then possibly the fenders if I feel confident enough
when you say prep, do you mean sanding?

I got to see this truck first hand and loved what he had done. Very well thought out. You live near Charlotte? If you ever need a good fabricator let me know. Two of the best are in your area. One is the guy that did my UCP MFC holder that moved from my area to yours. He knows my truck extremely well.

You're welcome, sounds good and yes the surfaces need to be scuffed up and cleaned thoroughly for proper adhesion.

Thanks for the kind words Al! I'm actually about 2 hours north of Charlotte, I'll be sure to keep you in mind when the time comes if the need arises. I have plenty of ideas some of which I may need some help accomplishing.
