I stopped at 23 1/2 inches i believe but you can go higher than that. I think the point where you shouldn't go is at like 23 3/4 i believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong lol

Uhhh... the hub cap would stay stationary since it is on the wheel, no? Are you measuring from the top of wheel well? On stock tires? Then bumping tire size up?

It ain't rocket science and solid fuel cell design. Use a tape measure and eye- ball it as best you can from the bottom of the fender lip to the center of the axle spindle or the center of the hub cover at around 23.5".

I will post a pic later of where to where to measure. There is also a good YouTube video that I posted a link to a while ago that I will post another link to later tonight that explains all this.

Should I do this on the stock 265's? Or on my 285's?

Like Pappibri said, the tire size doesn't matter when measuring from those two points and that's the point of measuring from there to there.

hey i got this truxxx level kit, it says in directions it will set at 24.25 inches, is it the same stress on the other parts as if i just cranked it to 24.25 inches? i got this kit for free, so should i install it or is it gonna be to much stress on other stuff when offroading? also if i get bilstien 5100's will i need to space the shock?

Even with a leveling kit, your just replacing the keys. And maybe extended shackles. You'll most likely put more stress on the ball joints and cv axles going to 24.5... im sure someone else will chime in.

24.5 from center of hub to bottom lip of fender is BAD. You will see severe angles for the tie rods and CVs. Just because you can, and just because Truxx says it's okay, it isn't okay. I'm glad you took the time to ask.

Like Roller said, you don't need the keys. Turn your torsion bars up to about 23.5" max, drive around, remeasure.

Hey thanks for all the info, one more question now, as for alignments, does it matter if I crank torsion bars now and then align it before I put larger tires on or should I wait to align It after I put larger tires on?

I had my tires put on before... tire size shouldnt matter, as the panels go on the wheels for thw alignment rack.

But just to be safe do the alignment last.
