    H3 rear leaf helper springs?

The airbags would be a great solution for managing trailer towing weight. Snow plow guys use airbags (or some such similar product) in the front of pickups to deal with snow plow weight. They used to be real common when more trucks had leaf spring front suspensions. I used to use air shocks on...

    H3 rear leaf helper springs?

OP ...you TAKE your vehicle to the leaf spring shop and tell them what you're looking for ....they can have them zipped off in literally minutes. You want to them to see what you have and what needs adjusting. An experience leaf spring guy will look at the springs, and gauge how much to re-arch...

HUMMER H3 SUV 2 Door....has it been done yet?

If you wanted to go curved glass, there are places advertised in Hemmings which can make custom curved auto glass. Some street rod guys go that route after they 'chop' a car. Or scavange the salvage yards with measurements in hand. You might likely find one that works perfect for your application.

Cool! Just curious, is there no ABS in your system?

    H3 rear leaf helper springs?

What's your goal here? Are the current springs weak? Or you want some 'lift' ....or you want to add extra capacity for towing a heavy trailer? I would consider swinging by a leaf spring shop. They do big trucks (like dump trucks) but also can do pickups and your hummer. They can re-arch springs...

    Bleeding front brakes

Most likely after blowing a hose, you will have to activate the ABS bleed sequence with a scanner to bleed air out of it. If you don't have a scanner that can do an ABS brake bleed, ask around in advance and borrow a buddy's scan tool and plan on performing the ABS bleed once you've re-bled out...

HUMMER H3 SUV 2 Door....has it been done yet?

That looks great (above) Who did that? More pics?? You have to look at it like a street-rod project, or a Custom. If you have the fab skills and a shop, it's not any harder than chopping the top of a street rod. Or doing any major sheet metal fab job. And the frame, ya just cut the frame and...

H3 OBD2 gauge for monitoring temps

There are a variety of analog more 'hardwired' options to consider too which may or may not interest you. I just cherry-picked these below ...there are a variety of others which may not include fuel level, and may have other measurements ...and don't have chinese writing, you can search out if...

H3 OBD2 gauge for monitoring temps

Per the oil pressure: All you're going to get is 'Ok' or 'Not Ok'. The I-5 oil pressure is a simple on/off pre-set "switch", so there's no pressure to 'get'. It's either good, or not good. I'm not sure what spec the switch is set to, but it's pretty low ...pretty sure it's right around 7 or 8...

    315 75 16 Rubbing solution?

Wheel spacers (thicker ones) typically decrease wheel bearing/hub life. Esp with 35's. As long as you are aware of that....

    Front driveshaft CV joint

Good news on the D/S. I see two d/s CV's on their website, both listed as AAM. I'll have to call them. I see Rock Auto doesn't list AC Delco front hub /bearing assemblies anymore either. But I did a search and they were avail on a couple other sites. I replaced both mine with Delco's .... but I...

    Differential cross member bushing question??

When I did the last trip on the Alpine loop with my H3, 2020, I had crappy tires. I mean they were low-tread Pirelli Scoprions I was going to replace in the fall. The trails and rocks can chip tires up, and I didn't care about those Scorpions. I didn't want to beat up a new set of meats. In the...

    Differential cross member bushing question??

Alrock...that was a nice summary on Alpine Loop trails. I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. Also ...my H3 is bone stock. Adventure pkg. Lux Pkg. I really don't have any 'mods' ...I've had modded vehicles in the past, but the H3 was built to do trails like the Alpine Loop and Rubicon...

    Differential cross member bushing question??

I am going to re-cant my ABS statement and any recommendations on Black Bear Pass, and any trails & passes people do. Do your *own* research into the best way and modifications to do any of the trails and passes. Choose the best and safest approach and modifications based on your own research...

    Steering wheel controls

Automatic HVAC is one option that commonly flakes out on a lot of cars & trucks, (or the myriad of blend doors that comes with it) ...glad I don't have THAT.

    Differential cross member bushing question??

My tires are the same size as yours Hankook Dynapro AT2 (285's) ...stock size, Adv Pkg. Although when I did the Alpine loop last time I had bald Pirelli Scorpion's ..ha ha. :).

    Differential cross member bushing question??

I would say no-go on black bear. Or else park at the top, walk down and watch others. I did it in a rented 97 Blazer (the small one). Here are the reasons I say that: 1) Once you come over the top of the hill (mountain) on Black Bear it's nebulous ...and once you realize you're actually "ON"...

    Differential cross member bushing question??

The old bushing outer sleeve came out pretty easy on mine as I recall. I honestly don't remember how I did the job. I have a press and a bunch of different diam pipe adapters/collars I've made/collected over the yrs. But I'm pretty sure it came out with just a few whacks of the hammer on the...
