06 H3 part finder

Hello fellow Hummer owners,

I already had my hood release cable broken (never bothered to buy new one) and now the driver side door lock cable is broken. Tried to open the door from inside and realized its gone.
I can still open the door by lowering the glass and pulling door handle from outside.
Dealer is asking me $300 for part + labor. I've tried to find the part online but I couldn't find anywhere. Luckily I found the image:




I am guessing I've broken part no. 8 or 9 (whichever is to open the door) as door locking is working. (This image is from google)




Can pls anyone help me find this part?

Did you check to see if the cable simply popped off at the latch? Seems odd for the cable to break before the plastic handle.

That's funny actually, I haven't checked yet. I will do that today or so to see whats going on.

I just had to replace my handle because it broke. If cable try looking for salvage yard with Chevy Colorado. Might fit. Had passenger side control switch fail and Chevy Colorado is same switch assembly.

So I was right. I took off the door panel and saw this. That round head broke apart from wire.



I there any place I can get just this wire?

Wrecking yard. The cable is NLA from GM.

Wow, that's pretty surprising that broke. Did the wire itself break or did the ball pull off of the wire?

I am very much surprised too. I don't have any clue how its broke, just remember, other day tried to open the door and it didn't open. Looks like wire and ball join was not strong enough.
