Hey There

I have an '09 H3T Alpha and am considering adding lockers. Searching around the internet I found this forum and I'm very excited!

I know just enough to be dangerous and am FAR from an expert. Unfortunately I do not have the adventure package. In hindsight I should have made that a priority when I originally bought the truck.

What I'm looking into is whether it's a reasonable/practical option to obtain and install OEM lockers and the 4:1 transfer case or just get air lockers and don't look back.

Welcome to the forum. No longer owning an H3 I am not sure what the availability of the OEM locker/diff packages are. Congrats on the T.

Rear locker is easy, parts are available for that from what i recall and you can install it.

4:1 t-case can be swapped directly in, all H3 transfer cases are swappable, if you use one from a 2006-2007 you might have to finish adding fluid through the speed hole on the top (also swap out the plastic shift fork for the metal one)

Front locker...good luck, 0 parts for that thing, tis a mystery. you can get bearing rebuild kits and gears, but the locker is a unicorn. Best bet is to fine a take out that someone is selling.
You'll also have to wire them up somehow, factory integration is more thank likely not possible without some serious wiring/coding/bcm work.

What he said, I would add that the front locker isn't really needed unless you plan on some good rock crawling. Nice to have but you will seldom need it. You could move up to 4.56 gears and gain a little more crawl ability.
