After Marble Falls Hummer event with my H3 hubby has been hooked. We went today & looked at an H2 he is interested in (oddly enough in yellow like mine - which I love). He had already test driven it the other day & I test drove it today. I took it to a parking lot to check out the 4WD which is set up just like mine.
It went into 4LO without issue & when I stopped, put it in N, & pushed 4HI button (which did light up), it did not completely disengage the 4LO but the light was off on the 4LO & lit on the 4HI. Hubby took over & tried going back thru the process again which did not change the outcome. He put it in R & went back a very short distance with no luck. After going thru the process 1 more time, he put it in R again & backed up a longer distance (about 1-2 car lengths) which fixed the issue.
When we got back to the dealer we tried the 4WD again & there were no issues with it going into or coming out of 4LO.
My question is does that sound like a problem or could it simply be that it has not been in 4WD for possibly quite some time as I have heard you should put your Hummer into 4WD at least once a month if you haven't used it?
I tried calling you for your expertise on this one Green1 but could not get a hold of you & CalamityGirl texted you for me.
