Since I've never been (and really never even been out running trails with others), what should I be expecting with the daily schedule? Do you normally eat lunch on the trail or do you come back to Neo's for lunch? If eating on the trail is it a sandwich type deal or do you stop and cook something? Total noob with this so I'm rather clueless.

Typical BSHS day in Moab is meet at Neo's around 9 AM, leave for trail soon thereafter, have lunch on the trail around noon (typically sandwiches), return to Neo's after finishing the day's trail(s) to socialize and have an adult beverage (BYOB), decide what to do or where to go for dinner and if not too tired or anti-social, return to Neo's to socialize some more around a big bonfire while enjoying some more beverages.

My oldest son is sending me pics from Moab. GRRR. These college coeds are in a Mini van with a tent and a big glass of what ever. I'm not mad, just a bit jealous . He wants to bring my H3 next year. "G" I wish I thought of that. Grrrrrrr

It's pretty much a free flow sort of gig, no Dues and no don'ts except for drinking on the trail, that's the only don't. trails are usually decided each night and sometimes changed by morning :giggle: Some people show up for the first half of the week and some for the second half. there can be a day or two of wrenching sometimes if that's your thing or when necessary :shame: as has been the case lately. thanks everyone that's helped me and not biotched about it  ah the memories and the ones we have yet to make. fuhk, gotta get back to the wood.

The Alpha T is regeared to 4:56, ARB on board air compressor working with the flip of a new bed mounted switch and bed mounted 12v plug in ready for ARB fridge and ready to hit the road to and trails of Moab. Thank you Reloader for making the time to get my rig ready. You and Alrock are champs and two great friends. Couldn't have done the work without the help of the 2 of you.

Well, I tuned my CB while watching Reloader and Bigunit work. Oh, and cleaned my windshield. That about wraps up my Moab prep.

Of course the prep over the last few months was a bit more, from steering pump and rack, new CV, new rotors, new transmission, t-case and diff fluids, new u-joint. The truck is feeling good.

So, how about making Thursday our Detailing Day? Everyone can bring their favorite car wash, polish, wax and orbital buffer. I've got a five gallon pail of Armor All to make the vehicles really shine in the high desert sun! This could be a touchy subject as everyone might argue over real chamois vs. synthetic, or whether to buff with microfiber or cotton, or worst of all the never-ending debate of carnauba vs. synthetic waxes. Bigunit just picked up some high end chrome polish he says really does the trick as the secret ingredient is whale sperm.

El Diablo never stops innovating! What an awesome idea to come up with a "Detailing Day" in Moab. As far as my personal preferences from the options mentioned in your post above - real chamois, synthetic wax, cotton buff pad and whale sperm - especially if you only wash and detail your rig once every 5 years like I do- that whale sperm leaves an impenetrable shine on chrome that not even a sand blaster can remove (Twinmill, thank you for sharing that secret), who would've known!
