H3 4 Wheel High/Low woes..

I’ve got a 08 Alpha with 151k. It runs great, but I have only been able to get it into 4Lo lock once. It always shifted into 4 High though. So, after reading about all of the shift fork issues, I decided to get a rebuilt transfer case that already had the upgraded dorman shift fork as well as upgrading to a 2 to 1 BW 4494. I had it installed with a new encoder motor as well. When I picked it up, it still would not go into 4Lo but went into 4high. Frustrated, I took it home and now, it won’t even go into 4High lock. Suggestions from the more knowledgeable would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Have you checked the buttons themselves? They might be dirty and not working right. Is the light on 4lo coming on when you switch it?

Actually, when I bought the rig, it had a new 4wheel selection cluster in the glove box, or it was the old one the previous owner had swapped out. I installed the the one that was in the glove box, but I will go and double check to see if they are intact are stuck.

No the light does not come on 4Lo when I switch it. It just goes back to 4 high unlocked and says service 4wheel
