well my 2 cents would have to be keep the hummer, the main reason I got mine instead of a jeep is everyone has a jeep! Also my brother has a brand new 2013 wrangler unlimited (4dr) and with out a doubt the hummer is way more beefier on the outside and to me more luxurious inside. It is a shame that they don't make them anymore and with a jeep you have unlimited parts but I like the exclusivity of having a hummer.

I love my H2, but I miss my H3 - ideally I would have both. I was at the dealership last night looking at new Sierra's and Silverados and I just cannot let go of my Deuce.

I would hold onto your Hummer Hans.

Apparently the Jeeps come with Free BBQ on selected models................................"Chrysler has announced it will bow to the US safety regulator's pressure to recall 2.7 million Jeep Libertys and Jeep Grand Cherokees over a fire risk that caused dozens of deaths."

If it's not a Rubicon don't even consider it. Even then, I wouldn't do it. You'll be kicking yourself regretting it.

Oh hell, he was not gonna sell/trade it.

I suspect his daily “Self-Affirmation” chants stopped working and he needed a bit of H4O lurvin’ to get over the hump.

“I am a good HUMMER owner. I deserve my HUMMER. My HUMMER lurvs me. I am worthy of my HUMMER. Etc., etc., ****ing etc., ****ing etc.”.

He was just being an
Attention Whore.

I'll admit, I didn't read the 3 pages of comments, however having known how much you longed for a Hummer before you had one, I'd be really concerned you'd have some serious regrets. If you've moved on, then that's cool...the Jeep sounds like a good deal...but basing it on nothing more than your forum posts from years gone by, I'd be shocked if you ever sold that truck.

To be perfectly frank, the reason that I even thought about getting rid of the Hummer was in hopes that I could get a newer vehicle and a some extra money to use to invest in real estate. Having just bought my first home, I've seen others in the neighborhood better for sale and it got me thinking about trying to scratch together some money to get a down payment on a rental home.

As it turns out the truck wasn't worth as much as I thought it might be at all the dealerships I went to, except for this last dealership with the Jeep where they offered me the Jeep and cash.

At the end of the day, I'm definitely glad to still have my truck. I agree with you 100 percent that I would have missed it, and 95% of my decision process was that fear and all the memories I have with this truck that stopped me from pulling the trigger.

I went about it with the right mindset, I think, but my future wouldn't be bright without a Hummer in it!

Well, as much as I live being coddled, I'll leave that to my wife.

Onward and upward, people.
