I have a small little camping grill I'll most likely be bringing. It's not big but it gets the job done.

We are 6 days away. As of now I still have not resolved front end issues. Winch is still sitting in box. New tires sitting at warehouse waiting to be mounted and balanced. I have one week to do get her right. Or just go as is and see what finally breaks.

LOL, I know hes had that front end apart hundreds of times. Im sure he can fix it with his eyes closed.

My rig is driveable...but, the steering is not where I want it to be. I installed a rebuilt and ported steering box which was pretty simple. But I have been trying to get my Redneck ram-assist installed for the last three weeks, and I have been playing the "mail parts back & forth" game with with West Texas Offroad. I finally got something semi-usable but, it still requires me to dick around and make stuff for it. Its Tuesday and I'm still waiting on parts....so I may be doing the "all-night" fab thang to get there on Saturday morning. The new steering box does not seem as strong as my stock junkyard box...likes to whine when cranked tight. Its designed to be used in conjunction with the ram, and that is what the hold-up is.

If the parts don't come...I'll still show. I just won't have the ram-assist installed, and I may be forced to take it easy on the box.

Basically the entire Badlands can be done completely unlocked, with the exception of the rock quarry and a couple of spots here and there. I want to say that I explored about 90% of the park and I am completely unlocked. The area around the rock quarry is where the rock walls and "extreme" terrain will be found. Diggles, since you have 35's you'll do this park easy peasy! :thumbs:

Yeah some of the trails from the rock garden down to the creek are particularly nasty. Deeply rutted, heavily wooded, and very muddy (if its been raining). No bikes, quads, or side-by-sides in this area. I would not hesitate to take a bone stock H3 anywhere in the Badlands. A strap and clevis are a good idea. Winch is optional. The Badlands is such a popular place that if you do get stuck...somebody will come along in a matter of minutes and yank you out.

I've got some new straps that could use being broke in. And some big shackles. Im kinda curious how this TJM snatch strap will perform.

I always have straps with me. I will also bring some battery impact and battery ratchets with. Along with some basic hand tools. I r&d tools for a unnamed tool company,hopefully we won't need them,but if we do,you can give me some feed back.

I have to check in to the campground and drop the camping gear off to get it off the roof rack and outta the truck. Should be there around 10 local time. Hope to be in the park by 1030 airing down.

Just pulled the factory nerf bars,wife isn't happy. I'm ready,it should be a great day. It has rained most of the week,and it is supposed to be 72 and sunny tomorrow . Can you say," sunny and muddy"
