H3 Best radiator fluid?

Well My radiator finally cracked. So I ordered a new one and a new thermostat.

Since I am down her in hot Belize, I though I'd ask what the recommended best radiator fluid should be for my 2006 H3 hummer.

Any recommendations? I have to drive to Mexico to get the radiator, so mine as well buy the fluid their too. They just opened a new Auto Zone too.

I think Dexcool is what it calls for. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Is not dexcool the radiator fluid everyone was complaining about? It runes gaskets. Or have they improved now?

That was back when dexcool first came out. IIRC the issues have been resolved

The Dexcool issues have been resolved unless you mix it with the green stuff (well, some green stuff says it is Dexcool compatible, but anyway be careful about mixing it).

DEXCOOL. And 90 percent of the problems with the first use of Dexcool was in the 4.3L (if memory serves me) V6 engine.

Make sure you mix the Dexcool with distilled water and not tap water.

Correct the new dexcool is great, don't mix it with the green stuff, make sure you use distilled water if you don't buy the pre mixed stuff. But I perfectly fine/preferred to use.

With that use the amsoil coolant
