if thats the case, my rig would only be worth around $3-5 stacks, oh boy this "blows"

anyone? anyone?

anyway, maybe i'll just let her go, it's not like i've had her that long....
Get an engine from a junkyard. 6.0s are plentiful, it doesn't have to be from a H2. check car-parts.com if you need to locate one. Labor really shouldn't be anymore than than $2000. I can get you an exact book time if you need it.

I wasn't in the position to make an offer either, but that is a damn sweet deal for a swap donor. I would have paid that for it.

Just my opinion, but $8k sounds like around half of what it should have gone for unless there is more wrong with it than the engine. Personally, I'd have taken the opportunity to check into what a 6.2 + transmission from an '08/'09 would take.

the kbb priced it at just over $11 grand, not to mention the engine is done, idk maybe I made a poor deal (good for him, haha)

however, now that im really thinking about it im glad i got away from it, too many issues kept arising

$11k in kbb? That sounds low, but if that's really all it's worth with a good engine then $8k isn't so bad. Out of curiosity I just did a nation-wide search on Autotrader.com and the cheapest H2 is a 249k mile '03 for $11k. Two for $12k with ~200k miles and a third with 170k miles that needs work. Of course these are all asking price and I don't know if $11k kbb is wholesale, trade-in, private party or dealer pricing... Maybe these are not worth as much as I thought?

In any event, you got out of a blown engine H2 for an amount you are happy with and that's all that really matters. I still like the idea of swapping in an '08+ engine and transmission (and whatever computer bits needed).
