Ok so ive been looking into getting a brush guard for sometime now. I've been looking at getting one custom made. I want the one Paladine71 has on his H3. It looks BA. So I told the guy that is what I wanted or at least something close. He just emailed me some sketches of two different ones. One of them look a lot like Paladine71's and the other one is something he put together. I like them both. Paladine71's I know will look good but the other one I think will look BA too and the other one is somthing I've yet to see on a H3. Tell me which one you guys like. Ya'lls opinion means alot. Thanks.

i think the realwheels over the hood is also supported by the handles on the hood louver some how. Ive only seen it in pictures so i could be wrong. Just something else to consider when the guy is designing it. You dont want it banging or rattling against the hood on bumpy roads.

Benlaud87 you are right it does get supported by the handles on the hood. Those are rough sketches. I've talked to him about that and he is going to use my hood handles too.

I like the first one, especially how it incorporates the thorparts bull bar into the over all brush guard. I will recommend that whatever design you go with, that you get the inserts that go ahead of the headlights like the realwheels brush guard. Mine has these, and i really feel like they help protect that part of the front grill.

I like the first one too, though it may be beneficial to have a bar across the lower part of the hoop for off road lights.

I kinda like the second one, but after looking back at it the 1'st one is B.A. But I think alrock had a good point on having the bar across for off road lights... How much for a custom made one,,, ballpark figure if you dont mind saying.. Just trying to get a idea...

Pappibri the custom brush guard is going to cost me right around 1900. That is for it to be made of chromoly which is very light and extremely strong and it is also getting powder coated black. The guy said I could take photos so as soon as he starts. I'll be sharing them, can't wait.

on my 10" netbook screen all i saw was "its going to be made of chrom". I thought it was going to be a giant chrome brush guard, blinding everyone who glances at it.

Cant wait to see the progress

Chrome-Moly 4130? Yea nice blue arc and an envelope of argon to keep out impurities. scccceeeeeee love that sound
You gotta just about no joint gap, 0.010 are permissible, in other words you can't doober dobber gaps together. So precise cutting is required for a good strong weld. You better have steady hands.

The first pic is wicked! Looks like you are going to get a cool brush guard. I agree, make sure you have a way to mount lights! Can't wait to see it when you get it installed.

Wow! Nice work. That thing is way out there. It's a combination of many different styles. I can't see the pivot point so you can open the hood. Where is it?
