Why haven't people jumped on the issue that the profits go to Italy for Jeeps? That's the argument that's like going been used for the American made Hondas, Toyotas, BMWs, etc.

Jeep is made by UAW workers, so they don't care where the money goes so long as their worthless butts are still being paid
Honda/Toyota has no UAW plants in the USA so the union gets on their high and mighty bandwagon and screams about the profits going to Japan (Same for other import companies like Subaru, Kia, etc.)
Most Americans do not care where the vehicle is made, so long as it is a good vehicle. And even those who say they want an American made vehicle have no problem with American made Hondas, Toyotas, etc.
Also might mention that a lot of vehicles made by GM and Ford are actually made overseas or across the border in Canada or China. But no one says a damn thing about that.

And no oneis commenting about the fact the the Obama administration GAVE Chrysler/Jeep to Fiat for NO money.

I won't since Fiat paid back their loans (GM has not). And I believe Fiat only owns 54 percent and the UAW owns the rest. (That might have changed in the past year. Gave up any interest.) And, before Fiat was Cerberus and before that, Chrysler was owned by a German company...Daimler that drained them dry. At least in the end, Chrysler Fiat owes the taxpayer nothing.

In regard to the paper article....was it accurately quoted? Remember when Romney wrote the article about letting GM go bankrupt, the NYT headlined it as "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt" those were not Romney's words.
