Who is traveling over the holidays? Driving or flying?

Me, I'm staying in PHX. Dinner with friends on Christmas. May try and do some light wheeling on Saturday and Monday. Work was nice to us and awarded us Friday off and just announced it last week.

Staying home this year...we normally go back to new york for family but this time they will be visiting us. Its always a blast to have 12+ loud new york italians living in one house during the holidays

Staying home this year for a change. Way too much time off but have several boxes of parts in the garage that need installed. Luckily I bought all my own Christmas presents!

Was going to go to KS too but decided to avoid the gas expense.
Don't blame you.
The last time both kids and I were together for Christmas was about 15 years ago. So this trip is worth it. And I'm not driving to Canada.

Nothing wrong with Canada. Just bad time of year to head north.

After Christmas Colleen and I are taking her new gold sluice (Christmas present) up to a claim near Barstow to try it out. Colleen hopes to get enough gold to pay off her car loan. I expect we'll have fun and get a few flakes of gold for the display case. Might also meet a few flakes in Barstow!

Mudiak that sounds like the best Christmas present ever even if its a few days later!!! We need to all get together and wheel when you get back ok?

That sounds fun! We dabble in the gold prospecting hobby also. What I have come to realize is the only people who make money on gold prospecting are the people who make the sluice and other equipment!

You are right about the two legged flakes!

Saw some ugly post-Christmas traffic today. I-17 north of Phoenix had a backup of 15-20 miles going northbound. Thankfully we were heading south. Guess all of the out of towners were heading home.
