Crazy morning

So this morning I was traveling down I-96 going westbound and I happen to look way across the medium which is about 100 yrds wide at this point, and here comes this minivan from the eastbound lanes down thru the deep ravine in the medium approaching the westbound lanes. He was coming toward me at a fast clip and swerved back down into the ravine where he proceeded to cross the ravine once again and make it to the Eastbound lanes. Well its not over yet, he swerved back down into the medium once again and got a lil airborne as he crossed the westbound lanes this time and went down in the opposite ditch missing a weigh station and disappeared out of my sight. At this point I was parked on the left side of the westbound freeway lanes, so I took off down into the ravine traveling to the point where he went across the freeway. I proceeded to the weight station and parked the rig there, called 911 and found the minivan smashed into some trees. Dude totaled out the front end. He was conscious but out of it. No alcohol smell, no fire, finally got him to become lucid enough to talk and he said he had not been drinking, been up all night or anything like that. I figure seizure or something. Finally the state police and sheriff rolled up.. Lil excitement this morning. Its nice having a rig that you dont have to worry about going down into terrain like that.

I myself think that he had a seizure or something. After I got him semi conscious I asked him if he has seizures or is diabetic and he said no to both. But he was out of it....

If you did not had enough rest and drive for to long on a straight road you can get hypnotized and pass out. This is actually a condition and the there were some studies done about it. Don't remember how it calls. But the problem is that when you fall a sleep and your foot gets relaxed and pushes on the gas pedal. By the time you wake up, you already jumping somewhere of the road. And you are lucky even if you wake up at all.
I had this happened to me ones. But i just fall a sleep. Scary staff. Luckily i was on the left lane right next to the concrete barrier and I hit it just with my tires, drove a bit on it. That woke me up so quick... I was lucky I didn't hit anyone.

I think it's hilarious that out of all that you see it as it's good your rig can go on that terrain.

That is so true because now that I have my Hummer & I come upon a stopped scene, or something to that effect, I instantly am scoping the surroundings to see how I can go around the situation, where before I only wished I could go around situations.

Thats what I am thinking, because his eyes kept rolling around in the back of his head and he could hear my voice. Then after a few minutes I tapped him on the shoulder again gently and he came totally alert. Good thing that he did not clip anyone else, could of gotten ugly real fast... 2008 trailblazer did not hold up so well when he smashed head on into the trees, but at least he escaped with only minor scrapes and bumps...

Uh, hate to be the ball breaker here, but dude was in a mini-van, and apparently he didn't need to worry about his rig going down into terrain like that either!

At the right speed you can go down any terrain in any vehicle. It is just what will happen with the vehicle when you will make it down...

Every day on my drive home when I go to merge off the highway there is a big line up into town because some idiot doesn't understand that the merge lane is a free flow lane and that he doesn't have to stop to merge onto the road... as I sit waiting, there is this little side gravel road that is right beside me on the other side of the ditch that I always get the urge to drop down and over to... I just don't want to be that "dick driving a hummer"

I have one of those spots too, & it's really hard not to take it, but knowing my luck that would be the one time there would be a cop sitting there that I didn't see.
