Backup camera not a necessity but it is great to have around town or to watch whatever I might be hauling in my flatbed trailer. I also have a front camera that is helpful off-road (cresting hills mostly) Both record just in case of an accident or awesomeness happens. 17AD8AC9-3FAA-4158-9B20-8FAC36169DFE.jpeg

I've worked the oilfields of the Alaska slope,up there they beat it into to walk around the vehicle before you get in to go anywhere, since then i don't do the walk around but i do check behind the vehicle before getting in,,i can control everything except little kids running behind my vehicle when i'm backing up,so for that reason alone i would like to have one

First thing I installed on both of my H3s with the Pioneer entertainment heads. And if you are single or connect a trailer by yourself, it makes it so much easier.

This is the first vehicle I have ever had one on and I will say it has proven to be nice, though I find myself having to re-learn where I am look to now include the display.

I have the stock one (with the screen that pops out of the side of the rear view mirror), and I like it, although I still rely more on my mirrors than the camera. I also have an aftermarket camera on the license plate that is linked to the Kenwood head unit; that one is a slightly different angle, but I pretty much ignore it since it is really washed out; not sure if that's due to the camera or the stereo.
