Backup camera not a necessity but it is great to have around town or to watch whatever I might be hauling in my flatbed trailer. I also have a front camera that is helpful off-road (cresting hills mostly) Both record just in case of an accident or awesomeness happens.

I've worked the oilfields of the Alaska slope,up there they beat it into to walk around the vehicle before you get in to go anywhere,since then i don't do the walk around but i do check behind the vehicle before getting in,,i can control everything except little kids running behind my vehicle when i'm backing up,so for that reason alone i would like to have one

First thing I installed on both of my H3s with the Pioneer entertainment heads. And if you are single or connect a trailer by yourself, it makes it so much easier.

This is the first vehicle I have ever had one on and I will say it has proven to be nice, though I find myself having to re-learn where I am look to now include the display.

I have the stock one (with the screen that pops out of the side of the rear view mirror), and I like it, although I still rely more on my mirrors than the camera. I also have an aftermarket camera on the license plate that is linked to the Kenwood head unit; that one is a slightly different angle, but I pretty much ignore it since it is really washed out; not sure if that's due to the camera or the stereo.
