Here in South Florida we see some crazy Suzuki Samurais... they are great in the mud all tricked out... I would love to build one out just for the mud!!!

I got one here that I saved as a project. My last one had twin low range reduction units and 34" ltb swampers. I swapped out the 1.3L 8 valve motor for a 1.6L 16 valve motor. I sold it before I put the Turbo on it. I want to get this one going, but I put other projects in front of it.

Dwaine and his grandson Mykyl have been building a Scorpion-inspired Samurai. I've been waiting for Mykyl to start his build thread here on the forum, as they have documented their build from day 1.

I've never seen anything like it.

I've wheeled with one, long time ago, but it did really really well. It was super easy to get back on all 4 wheels when the driver got a little over confident or just unlucky and it flopped on to its side.

They are cool. I came very close to buying one before I picked up the Jeep. 4Speed and I wheeled with a guy who is big into Samurais. They wheel great, but it was fun giving him crap all day about the 90+ degree temperatures from inside our A/C H3's. This pic is not mine. It's one 4speed sent me a few years back. I wouldn't try this in your H3.

I've got that on video too. What a day that was! I was the butt of jokes the entire day, and the Sammy's wheeled circles around me.

I've got the video too. If I get a few minute later, I'll crop out the Sammys down by the river and post it. Good enterainment value!

We saw one at Gorman try to do the big waterhole. It was a cool truck and had big offroad tires on it. Apparently the tires gave it so much buoyancy that it couldn't sink enough to get the tires on the bottom and it had to be strapped out.

I have been looking at Sammy's and Sidekicks/Geo Trackers....hard to find one that isn't a pit.
