So i just purchased my first hummer two weeks ago. It is a 2007 H2 with 69000 miles. I have noticed my front winshield rattling and it is driving me nuts. Ive read a couple of threads where people spoke about this issue but I can not find a thread that has a fix for it. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum. Not sure what the answer is for the H2 noise but I'm sure someone will chime in.

I hope so. I hate rattles like that. Just means I have to get all my aftermarket stereo, component, and subs in there sooner so i wont be able to hear it. :)

More than likely it is the winshield pillar moldings. Quick fix for them is using two sided tape where they sit on the windshield.

Not sure on the later years but GM reinstalled/replaced my 2003 H2 windshield due to the rattling issue. Apparently it wasn't that uncommon on the earlier trucks.

I am experiencing the same thing.. It usually happens around 70mph... I had my windshield replaced so I think it is either the cross trim piece or one of the pillars. I have the running lights and I checked all of them to make sure it was not that... So I guess we need to check them...

It is very common on the H3s - replace the A pillar trim under warranty while you can and after that use silicone or other methods to secure the trim to the windshield or A pillar.

I'd start with the side molding like Zach mentioned. I've never done the fix, but I think it's just a couple screws in the door jamb and the molding comes right off. Clean up the surface and used some double sided tape of some sort to hold the plastic down to the surface of the windshield. Should be a pretty quick operation, 10-15 min a side I reckon.

I've been wanting to find a fix for ours since the windshield was replaced, the glass guy was supposed to take care of it the second time he was out but no dice.
I've been too lazy to do the search for the fix, good thing a newbie popped up! My wife is chompin' at the bit for me to get this fixed!

Yeah it's 100% A Piller. It take only a few minutes to fix. Do what seventwozero said buy I would use RTV instead of double sided tape. RTV lasts longer. I did this fix a few years ago and still no problems.

Where do you pick up RTV at? I noticed my corner markers started to leak last week... might as well kill two birds with one stone.
