Hello!
As you can tell, we are new to the group. Once we locate the cool pics of our baby, we will post a few. Our H3 is used on & off road in the North Georgia mountains tri-state area, though nothing extreme. "The Mutt" has been a proud part of our family since June 2008. We have never owned such a sure footed vehicle and love driving it.
By scanning the posts, we already found answers to a few of our questions, along with some things we had not considered. You all seem very helpful and we are glad that Josh told us about your group.
Sincerely,
Michel (pronounced "Michelle") & Rick

You have probably answered this before, but how do I change the words that appear below our name (NGA H3) and over "join date"? I've seen to different things there, but I've not entered either of them.

Welcome.

As for your "Bald Tire" member status, it is just something goofy to reflect how active you are on the forum.

Bald Tire = Newbie

As your post count goes up, that line will change to something else......(Not sure what all of them are or what the break points are but I can check if you like).

However, if you elect to become a VIP member, you have control over that as well as some other perks.

Welcome to the forum. Let us know if you have any questions & we will all try to help. I really like the name of your rig - "The Mutt" (as you can probably tell, my wife and I love dogs!). Can't wait to see the pics of your "Mutt".

Thank you all for the warm greetings.
To Gunner45 - Instead of "Bald Tire" my tag said "Pruis lover?", which had me quite puzzled considering those cars are quite a nuisance on the switchback roads around here. I enjoy allowing my H3 to "perform" while traveling, even if it's on pavement.... I understand & can handle "bald tire".
To BigUnit - When I went to the dealership, I had my build in hand. They did not have a Slate Blue H3 with the Adventure package and cloth interior. We saw "The Mutt" on the lot and liked how it sat. Both my Husband & I commented to each other, "too bad it's white". Since we had not been in one with the Adventure Package the dealer wanted us to ride in one first because he said the ride was more rough than a base model. (How bad could the ride really be? We previously restored a 79 Int. Scout!) Battery was dead on the tester, so they got the keys for the Manager's demo, which happened to be "Mutt". Once our butts hit the seats we knew we wanted this one, even though it was white. Turns out they needed to sell it & made us an offer we could not refuse. "Mutt" has been with us ever since. Picked him up on Friday the 13th! ("The Scout" is his other nickname because it reminds of a modern Scout.) We have one small dog who loves to go for rides in it.
Thanks again everyone,
Michel

Welcome to H4O from South O.C. California from a fellow newbie. Grew up pretty much all over Georgia, from the islands off Brunswick, to Cartersville, to Canton and finally settling on the Cobb and Paulding county line in Acworth. Left in 1977 and have missed it terribly. I went back and visited in 1982. Hope to one day bring my wife over and show her how great southern hospitality is.:beer: :)
