H3 Hog Rings front seat

So I’ve determined that a previous owner in my latest H3 musta stored anvils in the drivers seat, so the bottom cushion is dead. The cover piping is ripped, too. I added a little cash and got an OEM cushion and a off brand cover. For the brain trust, what size of hog rings does the H3 use? This won’t be my day job, and we use different stuff for airplane upholstery, so what ring pliers brand would the brain trust recommend? And would anyone know what size of hog rings does a Dodge Ram use?

I think 1/2 or 7/16" is the most common on upholstery. If you have a Tractor Supply near you, I found they have the best price and a good hog ring pliers pretty inexpensively (in stock). I just re-did a pickup truck seat last summer. I used 7/16" which matched the OEM rings. Wasn't too difficult of a job. You don't need (or want to) compress them all the way. Just till they're closed. Some will say "use zip ties", but it's real tricky trying to thread zip ties deep into upholstery grooves ...whereas a hog ring is easy to do. Just my opinion. And Hog rings won't go anywhere.

Good luck with the project.
