How difficult is it and how do you remove the driver side door panel? Someone put a cardboard like flyer on to my driver side window. I did not notice it until when I started rolling down the window. And down it went, inside the glass/door panel. Can I take that flyer out by removing the driver side door panel? How do I remove the panel? Thanks folks.

I've asked this question a few times over the years. No one seems to have a definitive answer on how exactly to do it. Most say to start pulling and working the clips off around the outside perimeter of the panel. I tried that but it felt like stuff was going to break so I gave up.

It won't, i've done this multiple times, just take out the 3 bolts a flat head will work then start pulling on any edge.

It helps to use use task-appropriate tools to minimize the chances of breaking clips or damaging the trim itself. You can get them many places, including Harbor Freight and Amazon. It's about a ten minute job. Three bolts/screws do hold it though I can't remember if they are covered by small access panels. Don't use a screwdriver to pry on the plastic as you'll damage it, hence the need for the nylon tools.

Idk if it's the same but on my old suburban, it had about 3 bolts, some clips on the bottom and sides maybe but it actually hung on hooks and you just lifted up once you unpopped everything

I will try and see if I can get the right tool from Harbor Freight. I hate to break any plastic clips. In case I cannot remove the door pannel, will that piece of cardboard flyer cause any elcetrical or mechanical damage eventually?

I have a metal clip pulling tool along with all the plastic tools as well. My door panel seemed like it was glued on. Definitely felt like something was going to break trying to take it off. I just pushed it back down and left it alone. Some day I'll get up the courage and finally get my billet door buckets installed.
