I heard that too at Badlands, but I showed them H3's capabilities then they remained quiet.:corn:

I agree. Since I blew up/sold my H3 I've become a pretty big Mopar guy. The only thing I can absolutely NOT get into are jeeps. I will be a Hummer fan 'til I die. To this day I watch the H2's and H3's pass me and I watch them the whole way just cuz I think they are so bad ass even in stock form.

One day I will own another Hummer. One day...

Small town (pop 900) everyone waves to everyone. When I go (rarely) to the city, nobody waves to anyone.

Now I know what the wifes Rubicon can do, and fairly sure my H3T cant. Jeeps are damn fine offroad, but ride like a chuck wagon on coblestone streets in the road. My H3 and H3T are much better mannered on the road. Dont know how well the H3 (stock except 35's) would do offroad, and really have no interest in finding out short of WW3 or a Zombie Apocalypse.

I have been working all night and got a text from my SGT. He said he drove by the PD and saw shadows behind my truck.. He said he went over and found 4 guys taking pictures of my truck... He said they sounded like lil kids awwwing over it... Lol

I didn't buy my H3 to stare at the possibilities, I bought it to drive it off-road. All around the JK Wrangler crushes the H3 driving Off-Road right now, however I'm convinced that with a some minor modifications that I will be able to unlock a bunch of the vehicles ability. It seems to me the biggest thing holding us H3 owners back is the sway bars. Currently I'm at the conclusion that they are just to thick, but that is because GM wanted better on-road performance instead of off-road. This is no problem though, because once someone finally makes some quick disconnects we should have the best of both worlds.

I bought my H3T Alpha because I wanted the coolest and rarest truck I could afford. Everyday need to carry small stuff, and ability to pull a trailer for the larger stuff. It may have great ability for a truck, just not what I wanted it for.

Wifes Maserati will do close to 200MPH but she didnt get it with the intention of doing it. We both can have a nice smile just thinking of what the machines are capable of without actually pushing them that far.

Our 08 Rubicon will climb anything we ask it to, and we have wheeled it hard in the past out at Barnwell Mountain. Just got over it with time and moved on. It was fun (and expensive while learning). The anemic 08 engine is basically a minivan powerplant, but I hear the new engine is supposed to be much better.

To each their own, and I completely understanding wanting to go climb stuff. For me it was the brotherhood that I enjoyed the most. Now I'm part of a pilots club and get to fly some pretty cool stuff with other guys that are much better pilots than me. Just went with an AG sprayer a few weeks ago to do a local spray, and that guy has more skill in his pinky than I got in my whole body. Literally flying over tree tops on one side of the road and under powerlines on the other side. Cool as hell, but dont think I'll ever do it again...

I get tired of the comments from guys at off road parks about wheeling a "rich boy toy" or the comparison to Hummers being a high dollar Tahoe/Colorado. I usually point out that they pulled up with a $75k tow rig (dually truck and flatbed trailer) with a $35K Rubicon with about $10-15K in mods. Who's got the rich boy toy? If I was going to do all that, I would have just bought a H1. :thumbs:
