HUNNER EXtreme SKIDS

I was digging my shop out to do some prep work and I have two more of the last batch of skids left. I had held them back until I was sure all the orders were correct.
I will sell those at the $215 price shipped all four pieces.

I have two more sets of the style that allowed bigger eye shocks like the Bilstein to slightly touch the back slope. I have found now I can just tighten the front bolts a bit more first and then run up the back with no issues. I will provide new front pieces with those.
One set was on my H3 but never hammered hard on anything just some surface scratches.
Anyone interested in those pm me and I will send pictures and a price.
I can't seem to get time to get out there and go thru all this stuff because I'm gone so much, havin fun!

I sent a pm with pictures of what I have left. One of my used sets and some samples is all I have left. The market sort of dried up and I don't want to shell out $2000 for another batch at this time.
I can discount you a set of these.

I have not had any requests so it may be end of life for those and H3's! lol, but mine is working fine with all my mods still functioning.

Hunner, I picked up a set of your skids from SolidusJ's a couple weeks ago but he was unable to remove the two welded front skids. Would you happen to have a line on a set of the front skids that you weld on to install?

Sorry, I scraped up a pair of sample rears for someone a couple weeks ago and had two new fronts I was keepoing for a pattern.

Your best bet is make a cardboard template of his and find a place to cut you some.

It takes a large press to make that bend in several passes.

It wasn't too scientific, the first ones were made from a Diet Dr Pepper carton pattern!

Here is a tip I recall now that I replaced shocks.

If you have my skids you can jack up by the rear diff first, place jackstands under the frame forward of the wheels on the front skids.
Remove the wheels so you can see and get around better.
Then remove the center jack under the diff and place one under either side of the diff at the end and jack it up as far as it will go.

Doing this you can just squeeze a Bilstein in from the side of the skid and into the OEM shock mount.

If you don't know, these gas shocks when the shipping strap is removed will fully extend. I can't hold them back or compress them with out a second jack and sometimes use a pry bar to move them over to the mount.

That is with the top already bolted in.

I've had my Hunner skids for 4 years I think and they have held up to everything I put them through. Every year or so I hit them with a touch up coat of desert orange metallic..great product. Thanks for making them.

Good to hear positive feedback. Thanks

I have put mine thru the test many times.

I very seldom get a request anymore so I figure the market is drying up. I can think of only three in the last year.

Maybe if enough new people come along I could TRY and beg for a small order, but pricing could be an issue.

These places I have had them made are used to giant pieces and large orders.

I may have worn out my welcome.

I will be cutting some off an H3T in the next week (part of a SAS/SOA project). I will post some pics if I can get them off in one piece.

Nope that market dried up. Sold over 250 sets and it sort of dropped off.
Can't justify the price for a small batch.

I was pleased I was asked, so I gave permission to outsource some of the fronts if anybody needs some email me.

I would rather see people get these if they need them than not.

I burned out on trying to get them made locally.
