These do not.

We fully extended the suspension while it was on the lift to install them.

They reach without any limitation to the droop.

Proper part for the vehicle.

Hummer police cars? That's hysterical! I seriously doubt if an H3 could survive an all out high-speed chase lasting longer than 10 minutes. By then it would have overheated, exploded the front diff, shot a CV out the side, and went into "reduced power" mode. Good thing they have radios! (makes it easy to call a tow truck).

Remind me if I ever want to knock-off a bank...I should do it in Lone Tree.

Hunter's Hunner Edition Hummer

So many sites already had someone using Hunter I gave up on that.

North of I-20 is not exactly the south. In south Louisiana, north of I-10 is pretty much yankee country.

Just sayin :)

South of I-10 would be the DEEP south.

Yea but, how come us Arkies have a suthern accent.

You have not heard my wife taalk.

I figure south of I-40 is getting southern, but others that want to be in the south claim the Mason Dixon line is where it starts. lol

How is that diesel, got a fan?

In the South everybody says Hunner. Like there is no T, so that became my name especially even further south in Mississippi.

Ratchere;

Some of the SoCal group is familiar with my accent, especially when we run trails in Bishop, my home town. Many miners made their way to Bishop from Oklahoma during the dust bowl days to mine tunsten in the Sierras. The okie accent became normal and stuck for many years.

I still tend to use "y'all" quite a bit and occasionally "warsh" and "crik". The funny part is living in the city has got me to use "dude" quite a bit, just like the surfers.

Oh, I still measure distance in "farsees". :giggle:

Hunner,
I am seriously considering adding the same air bags to my 2009 H3. I also carry a lot of "stuff" and frequently tow a 12' cargo trailer with an atv in it.
Do the upper frame brackets require drilling or do they use existing holes? Do you have any other tips or comments that might help with he install?

Read thru the reviews on the E-Trailer site. There are some good install pictures and suggestions.
Some are not specific to the H3 so you have to watch for that.

I noted that the bags are rolled down when you get them over the lower base. Pull them out full length when you are placing them to determine the angle to mount the brace.
Yes, you do have to drill holes. They suggest at least three. I see I could have put a couple more but have not. I drilled pilot holes and used the self tapping screws they sent.
Be sure and line it up per the instructions so there is no binding. We put about 5 pounds in them to help hold them in position.
If you have any more questions I will try to answer them.

I am very pleased with the outcome.
I have found that about 12 lbs all the time improves my ride.
I do have lots of extras on the H3 all the time so the springs were compressed more than most stock H3's.

Be careful airing them up. There is not much volume in them so a short blast gets you a lot of pressure. I found giving them a snort and use a bleed down air gauge to get to what you want helps.

It also suggests airing them down when lifting to full droop. Not sure yet how that may be affected when wheeling but I don't plan on having much more than 15 lbs offroad so I have good articulation, depending on the load I have.

It corners flatter and does not lift the front end too much under full acceleration.
My extended travel in the front lends itself to lift more than some also.

We installed mine on a car lift so the suspension was fully drooped.
I noticed after I let it down the ubolts were loose.

Apparently while the suspension was hanging the leaves spread some so when the suspension was on the ground that gave some slack to the u-bolts.

I too pull an enclosed trailer and it is loaded to the max. 3500 lbs. I usually pull it with my 3/4 ton Dodge Cummins, but this will allow me to pull it with the H3 without sagging.
This was shot when the Alpha was very new and springs were stiffer and I did not have all the extra weight bolted on.

Now with 75,000 miles and lots of spring flexing it was getting to where it did not pull well.

Hunner,
Thanks for the info. I have air bags on my truck also so I am familiar with the small volume they have.
I think I will give them a try.
Thanks again KK

Yeah, hard to compete with a five cylinder engine. But you are missing the sound of manually running through gears!

Ha ha now we have some good sounds and video posted of several combinations.

Lots of sports cars and lots of clutches later..................

My 95 Dodge Cummins was the first vehicle I had that was an automatic.
Research told me for pulling large boats out of the water up a ramp was going to smoke some clutches and saw one blow up.

However after turning up my Cummins I did get a custom triple lock torque converter. (Suncoast Converters)

I figured idling along on the trail and trying to shift going up or down steep hills was going to slip the clutch a lot plus the standard is sort of rare to find in a Hummer and not sure it was ever available in the Alpha.
Turns out I do a lot of manual shifting the auto and it works for me.

But I do appreciate your love for the standard.
That lag at launch would kill it for me with the I-5.

In hilly terrain around here on the road in traffic at intersections and stop and go traffic used to be a killer for me in the old Toyota Land Crusher wagon so I was ready to move on.

Let's hear that exhaust Sennin.

Ha ha I got a neighbor that just moved in with several *** cars and they all have those big loud exhaust. 12 am or 3 am is getting to me.
I may park the Cummins with 4 inch exhaust no cat in front of his house when I know he is sleeping and let it idle.

EDIT ok how bout rice rockets?
