I almost forgot to mention if you buy the sensors off eBay or any ACDelco tire pressure sensors for that matter, they don't include the nut for installation (they expect you to reuse the old ones, which does you no good if you are not replacing them). Anyways if you need 4 or 5, let me know and I will send them to you free of charge if you pay shipping.

I had one valve stem that was broken on the wheels I got. I ordered a couple of spares from the dealer in OK. I used teflon tape on mine in case I had to remove them after running them for awhile in mud and crude.

I sent an email to Hutchinson to confirm that the valves are included, but it is called out on the drawing along with thread sealant (as required). Still, might be a good idea to get a couple for the spares kit. Wouldn't want to be without a wheel because I damaged a valve.

I have a spare set of OEM center caps I might be willing to part with. I take it you are going to paint them matte black? I think a set of 06's painted matte black with the exception of the black bar, would give some contrast and look great.

I think should be able to reuse my existing TPMS.

Actually, I bought a Chrome center cap on ebay to see how it looks with the matt black wheels. I think matt black center caps on matt black wheels with blackwall tires might be a little too subtle. At least on my truck, since I have chrome mirrors, door handles, brush guard, ... I think the chrome center caps should dress it up a little bit and tie in with the rest of the chrome accents. If I like the look of the first one I'll buy the other 4. Besides as long as I remember to pop the center caps off when I go off road, I won’t need to worry about messing them up.

I'm going to hold on to the AR wheels and 305 tires until I certain the new wheels are tires are going to work out. Then I'll try and sell them for a reasonable price.

I ordered the Hutchinson's 10-17-2011 and Hutchinson quoted 2 weeks so I thought they would ship 10-31-2011 and maybe arrive around 11-7-2011, so I was very surprised when FedEx dropped off five boxes today.

So tell me what you think. Do you like the chrome center caps or should I paint them black?

The wheels look great! If it was me, I would pant the center caps flat black to match. If you wanted to add a little character to them, maybe paint the "wing" gloss or semi gloss. Another option would be paint a set of 06's flat black.

As much as I like black wheels, if I end up going this route I will probably end up with sparkling silver.

Those do look nice. Be careful, if that is possible when you tighten the rim nuts, as you come down on that purty finish. I notice some of mine that I had to remove to pull off the tires that they can damage the finish. I wonder if applying a bit of vasoline as used for the O'rings before tightening them would help. Then wash it off.
This is not a personal question, but are your nuts those split kind.:whaa: I found those to be unique as they seem to be some sort of locking nut.

You might be right, but the final decision will be to see how they look on the T. I could get a couple more center caps, paint two black on pop them on and see which looks better. I could take pictures each way and have a pole.

The Sparkle Silver is close to the color of aluminum, so scratched would be nearly invisible, but the matt black is supposed to be easier to touch up.

Maybe pick up a can of PlastiDip and spray the center caps. If you don't like the black you can peal it off. Its not durable but it would be a safe and easy way of seeing if you like the looks.

*edit, on a side note they might go well with the chrome on your rig. I guess you just have to put them on and just see what you like best.

I don't know, let me check. ... Yes, I do have split nuts. :whaa: They are pretty trick. There is sort of a stepped ramp between the two parts of the nut, but all the threads are attached to the outer half. How does that make them lock?

I like the look even better with the plastic caps. I think the chrome will tie in well with the other chrome on my T, but we’ll see when I get them mounted.

If you don't mind, what would they look like if just the "HUMMER" letters, the "-" mark and the two semi-circular grooves were painted black?

I think the ultimate test will be to get the wheels and tires on the truck and then photoshop the center caps black. Personally I think the chrome will tie in with the rest of the chrome on the truck. I also think the center caps are a good place to use chrome because I can take them off when I go off road. On the other hand, the black wheels are going to blend with the tires and the chrome center caps may look very small and a little odd.
