I'd say the H3 is a good combo between a Land Rover and a Jeep Wrangler honestly. It's comfortable, loaded with great options, tows well, and it's good on/off road. I think Hummer/GM did a great job with the H3 Alpha and I am sad GM dumped Hummer because I'm sure they'd have kept up with the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited just fine if not better since you could get a V8 in the Hummer vs the V6 in the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

There are only a few things I wish GM had engineered into the H3, for the stereo an MP3 jack should have been a no brainer, and for backing up with such short windows they should have made the rear view mirrors automatically dip down when you shifted into reverse (feature I found very useful and handy on my 97 Range Rover), and once out of reverse they would resume there normal position. Other than those two things I can't find anything I'd change on the H3. I love driving it and it is very well insulated inside! You can not only hear the difference inside, but you can feel it on hot days because the A/C does an excellent job of cooling down the interior even in South Texas.

People immediately always ask me how bad my MPG is, and it honestly now really bugs me because the H3 DOES NOT get as bad of MPG as everyone thinks. Compare it to a Land Rover, or a Jeep Wrangler and they're all about the same with the Land Rover's requiring 93 octane fuel (I ran 89 octane in my Rover's without any issues). I got my H3 for a steal because the dealership I bought it from said they can't sell H3's quickly at all vs a pickup. I handed them my F150 keys for the H3 keys (didn't pay for anything but the title transfer and tag)and it's the best vehicle trade I've ever done. I did watch my F150 online after I traded and it was sold in 4 days, but my F150 was honestly a cookie cutter vehicle with probably 100,000 clones running around minus my personal touches, but with the H3 especially with it being an Alpha I know I have something that was only produced for 2 years in limited numbers vs my Ford F150 so one day it'll be a classic American 4x4. I like being different, and I am an extremely happy H3 owner no doubt!
