Cool. I wouldn't mind walking the new trail to see what it is all about. I want to run Pritchett but being reduced to single handed driving this trip I may not run any of the tougher trails.

Rotator cuff surgery. Won't be able to use that arm/shoulder to crank the wheel. Some obstacles, like the Golden Crack, generally require two hands on the steering wheel.

Probably a smart thing to do.
But, if Pritchett is not enough for you, there should be a new, approx. 3/4 miles route, Coyote Canyon, opened by April. The say it would take about 4 hours to run....provided you make it.

Sounds like traffic jams on that run would be pretty crazy

I have seen videos of pritchett and while it looks intense I wouldnt say I am scared...I watched a video on coyote canyon and I would have to admit I would be scared. you wont find me on that trail unless I running a tube buggy. Body panels on jeeps or hummers wouldnt look too happy after that trail.

In hiding.....
If it is that difficult there wouldn't be that many people attempting it anyway.

Right now, no one is running it.
This trail is causing a bunch of **** at the BLM.
It was not made part of the RMP a few years ago, due to no one mentioning it; so it fell by the wayside. Then red rock 4-wheelers wanted it open. BLM said ok, but we have to publish and that brought the neighbors, SUWA and a few others.
So far, it looks like it will be open per permit. Permits will be free, but allocated. Also trail will be open only on certain weekend days (I believe closed in the winter and in extreme rain). And there are some other restrictions.

I'm more than happy to pilot that H1 over the tougher parts so you can run all reamining parts on whatever trail you want.

The only thing on the list that has changed from us is No condo. the two other couples that were going have still not decided on dates. I didn;t want to get stuck with a $1600 invoice. SOOOO, we're camping unless the weather gets nasty for some reason.

I think it is great that each Moab pic has a different truck of yours. How many more pics do we need to cover them all?

that pic of you coming down lions back is really sweet, bummer we can't run that anymore... even though it is a pretty dangerous trail.
