First mod, 37x12.50x17 GY MTRs on stock wheels, stock height. Love these tires! Much meaner than I thought.

How many miles have you put on it so far and any warranty concerns? Is it still under warranty? I saw it's a '12, just not sure if you bought it new.
We got burned by the FoMoCo fools 10 years ago bad enough that we'll never buy another Ford, which is sad because these Raptors are cool. I'm curious what the dealer would be willing to cover under warranty with the mods?
My buddy is a die hard Ford guy who's owned Ford trucks all his life and never had an issue. But as for his '02 (not sure if that's right) Mach 1, he blew he clucth out the bell housing in a lively run against his buddy in a Saleen Mustang. The dealer told him to go pound sand on covering the repair, they called him out on racing it. Now, let me get this straight, it's a Mach 1, built to go fast--so why no warranty work? This is very much like the heartache some (but not all) of the HUMMER dealer's were giving some drivers for covering their trucks.

Thanks, guys. Twinmill, I talked with a couple of service guys when I bought it and they said, "as long as there is no sign of impact" they will cover it. I have 1200 miles on it so far. I asked specifically about breaking a half shaft, and they said no problem. We'll see what happens. Ford does have the shortest warranty out there, but I likely won't keep the truck until its expiration. I sold the H3T with 30K...far short of the 50/100 warranty. As you mentioned, I feel the same about GM being a turd about warranty claims. I swore not to buy another GM as you did Ford. Growing up, we had problems with every Chrysler we owned...so, I thought I would give Ford a try. From my recollection, this is the only American car company that we haven't had trouble with. I've been through the truck and it's very well built. Grade 10 hardware, bolts are extra tight, no gaps, very thick paint (tested it), and so on. So far, this truck is nothing short of amazing. When I bought my H3T, I had 10 or so warranty claims before it even left the showroom...side view mirror, dirt in the paint, backseat didn't latch, etc, etc.

Hey thanks for a good reply Mike. While none of us wants to buy a car with warranty needs, getting them fixed right the first time and avoiding any more repairs is always the name of the game. We weren't upset that the car was a lemon, we accepted the fact after owning this one that some cars are just prone to be turds. It's just the way the Ford service department handled the repairs, and us, as customers that turned us off. That damn car spent massive amounts of time at over 4 different dealerships for repairs and the service dept's all blew monkey balls. We actually watched the service manager treating other customers like they were a nuisance and with quite a bit of disrespect, and they tried to play that game with us. This was regardless of owning a basic car or top o' the line Lincoln.
The 3 went in for lots of warranty work (most of it due to off road thrashing that the dealer was aware of) and were treated extremely well every time, no different than the Caddy and H1 owners.
Our theory is that buying a car at a dealership may or may not bring repeat business, but it's the service department's that will keep you coming back to spend your money, and may even lead to you buying another car. I can't even stand being in the Ford dealer's sales lot---those guys are like sharks

This is what I experienced with my H3T and soured the ownership experience. I used three different dealers and they all failed me (Chicago, Dallas and El Paso). I would have to return the car for further repair, and the paperwork made it seem as though it was my fault. A few examples are, incorrect repair of transfer case that later resulted in catastrophic failure, paint that was left with cracks, axle seal leaks after repair, rear main leak after repair, three times to properly replace a CV boot, stripped bolts/bolt holes, grade 8 hardware replaced with whatever was in the parts bin, and the list goes on. I would usually repair the repair to ensure it was done right. Again, we'll see how the El Paso Ford experience goes. Hopefully better than your locals.

Nice truck, I am jealous.

I have to say that Ford should be worried. First you buy a Bruell motorcycle and they close down the company. Then you buy an H3t and they close down the company. Now a Ford Raptor.... I am selling my Ford stock while I still can!

And then...I added Wicked Performance front and rear bumpers, and sliders. The front bumper was fit my Smittybilt X20 Comp Series 10K winch. I have lights on the way to add front and rear. Next, I will lift the rear. Note the rear exhaust is missing :) Exits under the truck now (last pic).

You guys...thanks. Jay, I'm sure you'll find your way to Bliss at some point.

Aftermarket parts are nice, but the Raptor is similar to the Hummers in many ways in that all these parts are handmade, one-offs. Parts are not cheap like they are for a Jeep. That rhymes. There is the F150 aftermarket, but the differences in the trucks are significant, so most things won't cross-list. However, I did get a bed liner for really cheap :)

More on the way! Best part is all the major mods are now complete, and I have four months to play before Moab to fine tune and tweek.
