New friend on my patio this morning

I had a guest to. Its a rare 40lb Hamster alpha male. Also called Gibnut. Caught it trying to knaw its way into my fenced garden. It controls all the furry small ones. Dam Gibnut, keeps out smarting me, but this time I got a pic of it, before it scooted off.

Had one about that size in a wood ring by the back patio. I came out the door and it struck immediately. Glad my briefcase was on tat side or he would have gotten me. He died very shortly thereafter. Death by shovel. SOB didn't go down easy.

My girl killed a snake after stepping and crushing its head under her platform sandal, not even a week ago, as it crawled out from under our deck, she's pretty fearless as myself, but we are worried a bit about the kids now, as I killed 2 more with my daughter a month before that!

It is either a corn, rat, bull, or pine snake. None are venomous. All of them bite. All of them hurt. My guess would be a rat snake. All four of these can easily be mistaken for a rattlesnake. Best bet is to leave it alone. They eat the mice/rats and other fun stuff.

By the time the snake could say "hey I'm OK, I eat mice" the snake would have been the recipient of 140gr of high speed lead shot.

I recognize two types of snakes; dead snakes and about to be dead snakes.
