Hello everyone,

I have been stalking this forum for awhile now and finally decided to jump into the mix, I am a Former Marine who moved to Virginia due to the needs of the corps, I am originally from Utah. I am sure that many of you are very familiar with the outstanding off road environment there, and I am looking to find new off road areas where I now live.

so here is my quick story, I fell in love with the off road capabilities of the HUMMWV in the military. Incidentally I pretty much sent the first M998 I drove to the critically disabled list the first day by snapping the rear U-joint and ripping all of the transmission lines out while we were trying to race/climb the sand dunes and hills in 29 palms, California. With all the transmission fluid leaking out of the M998 it really looked like I killed it, try explaining how that happened to a very pissed off Motor-T Chief.

I look forward to getting out there and hitting the trails and meeting fellow enthusiasts, I don't think I will get too crazy in my H3 just because it is my vehicle and I really like it to much to thrash it. but it always looks better with mud.

Thank you all for the welcome, I will post some pictures soon all I have done so far is 315/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers and my front leveled, it not much talk about instant gratification.

I would like to explore the trails that Virginia has to offer, likely after the holidays.

that sounds great I was just back there in June and it is one heck of an itch to go back, I was actually running around the Rocky's (Big Cottonwood, and American Fork Canyon) I was having a great time following all the modified Jeeps, in my Stock 06' with Adventure/Luxury pkg with lockers. after driving 2200 miles.

oh the looks :whoa: I got were priceless these guys trailer-ed there modified Jeeps up to the canyon and I went from driving across the country (2 1/2 days driving) to running straight to the trails.

Welcome neighbor - I too am from the FXBG area and would love to get together sometime. Been out with a few members from this board and had a great time. If you haven't heard there's a Rausch Creek run in a couple weeks, hope you'll be able to make it.
