Hello everyone,
I have been stalking this forum for awhile now and finally decided to jump into the mix, I am a Former Marine who moved to Virginia due to the needs of the corps, I am originally from Utah. I am sure that many of you are very familiar with the outstanding off road environment there, and I am looking to find new off road areas where I now live.
so here is my quick story, I fell in love with the off road capabilities of the HUMMWV in the military. Incidentally I pretty much sent the first M998 I drove to the critically disabled list the first day by snapping the rear U-joint and ripping all of the transmission lines out while we were trying to race/climb the sand dunes and hills in 29 palms, California. With all the transmission fluid leaking out of the M998 it really looked like I killed it, try explaining how that happened to a very pissed off Motor-T Chief.
I look forward to getting out there and hitting the trails and meeting fellow enthusiasts, I don't think I will get too crazy in my H3 just because it is my vehicle and I really like it to much to thrash it. but it always looks better with mud.
