Picking up my H3 tonight

This FRESH MEAT post may still be a little pre-mature because I won't be getting my H3 until tonight. It is pretty well outfitted, but is lacking a wench. Is WARN still the flavor of choice or is there a better one out there. Won't be going out looking for trouble, but want to have it if trouble finds me first.

Welcome from So Cal. Pics and all the details of the add on's. Winches are your choice, lots of good ones out there. I personally have the Smittybilt 12k. You have a lot of reading to do because there is a TON of good info here.

I like Warn winches, but my pocketbook doesn't. I use smittybilt. That said, if you have to get a bit less of a winch to get a synthetic cable - do so, the life you save could easily be yours. In that vein, wireless remotes allow you to get out of the kill zone as well. You can get a winch for cheap, just don't skimp on safety.

Greetings from SoCal! I am currently running the cheap 12,000 lb. winch from Harbor Freight. The only complaint I have heard from other owners is that it runs slow. Personally, I find that to be an advantage! The extra money in my pocket for other mods is also a huge plus!

I have uploaded a couple pics of my H3, and am about to have the trans serviced & order a cold air intake to help with the mileage. Hope to have everything tweaked out within the next 3-4 weeks.

Congrats, Pictures.

I have never driven a stock H3, or any other H3 but mine is certainly fun to drive.

Your mileage with suffer with the cold air intake. You'll be so overwhelmed by the power gains you're gonna be on the throttle all the time. lol.
