Did a quick day trip to the Grand Canyon today. At work we have a visitor from Indonesia and she wanted to see the Grand Canyon so we zipped up there to take in the sights. While it was great weather in Phoenix (sunny and 70) it was about 33 degrees and snowing in Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon had all sorts of weather over the 2-3 hours we were there: cold and blustery; cloudy, sunny, sleet and snow. It was great visiting in February with the snow on the ground and the complete lack of crowds. (FYI, the Grand Canyon is about 4 hours from Phoenix).

Picture quality may vary as some were taken with my phone and others were taken with a traditional camera.

Heavy clouds above and below when we first got there.

Whats sad is that I have lived in AZ my whole life and I have NEVER been to the Grand Canyon :(

Make a trip out there! You will be amazed. I wanna go back and hike to the bottom camp down there and then come back up. I know people do that a lot but not sure on requirements and restrictions.

how far is the drive for you?

Easy to do. I've done the hike a couple of times. Only real restriction is weather as you don't want it to be too hot. 7-9 hour total hike, down and back up
