I'm looking at covering my H3 in raptor liner as the new paint job has anyone had good or bad experiences with this product over time? Tinted or black, thanks!

I looked into it, well it was actually called Rhino liner by me, but it's a bit on the expensive side, unless you need a paint job anyway. I am still considering it, but I really don't know how good it will look. Hopefully someone will chime in that may have done it!

I have line-x. Only been on a year and a half but no issues so far and I've only ever washed it once because my daughter colored all over the side in chalk. Otherwise the rain cleans it off. We'll see how it holds up when I'm living in New Mexico at the beginning of next year.

I have heard its super durable and very less expensive then an actual new paint job, which is one huge reason I'm thinking of doing it

I have it all over, and I love it. Super durable, power washer cleans it to brand new. Nice texture that you can pick depending on PSI and easy to apply.

There are a few guys I know that have line-x and love it on their **jeeps** fade is MINIMAL after a couple years in Arizona sun, beat on and abused, it holds without issue. Only word of caution i've heard from them & their buddies who apply it are, make sure the surface its going on is without issue (see rust, corrosion etc), the only way to mess up the coating is by something substantial festering underneath.

My Rhino liner in the bed of my Silverado faded bad after 4 years. It had the UV coating and still looks bad. When they had to re-coat it, they had to use heavy duty wire wheels and a whole day to strip the bed before they could re-coat it. Once it is on it is permanent. It looks like crap again. I love the durability of it but for permanent body color I'm not sold.

Yea, I have same issue with my cage and bumpers. Couple of years and it's faded. My bro did it inside his POS dodge, body color it has been ~6 month and still looks good.

So Line X is much better then Rhino liner? Because I really want to eventually do this, but like I said, it's not cheap, and I don't expect to have to do this for a long time after getting it done, so I want to get what's better too!

I know of people whom have had their vehicle raptorlined for 3+ years and it still looks brand new. Plus line-x can't make as gritty of a texture as raptor liner can.

Research it. They are all basically the same polyurethane but applied slightly different and the texture can be changed based on preference. It doesn't make a difference, they all will fade quicker than paint. It's the Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge vs the world argument.
