thanks guys -- work in progress like all our trucks.

Portager -- remember the smoke I mentioned earlier in the thread (from the Gold Mnt trip). I thought it was my blower motor frying...I was under the truck re-routing some cables and hoses recently and it was a vent tube for the rear ac unit (which I pulled out a while back to make room) and it hadcome loose and melted against the exhaust pipe. I should have known it was melting rubber from my rubber cement sniffing days!

I also got a little bit of spare time to get some work done on the truck -- though only steps 1 through 3 of a 10 step list of stuff I want to do!

-I added a marine battery tender so when the truck is parked for long periods of time the batteries won't take a pooper with all the electronic doohickies sucking on them.

-I had a master battery kill switch installed where the glove box used to be and finally put the lower close-out panel on the hole where the ac used to connect. The panel my upholstery guy made to replace the glove box is where I will mount future switches to control the airbags and deployable stripper pole.

-in the new empty space where the glove box used to be I mounted my new manifold/solenoid chingus to control the airbags. I will replace all the lines with braided and run them through the access hole already in the floor where the old ac lines used to be (yay -- no cutting the floor open)

-Lastly, a 12v socket was added to the rear for the fridge

So what are the other 7 things on your list? Hopefully trying all these new chingaderos out on the trail is on there somewhere.

Lord knows when/if I will ever do everything...but here's a brief list of stuff I want to do to my trucl:

Misc:
-install new hardware/top
-install new rollbar padding
-snorkel braced to lightbar
-new viair compressor
-remove old airlines
-instal braided lines w/3 way valves at corners
-solar/management system (3rd batt?)

Fab:
-bed rack for rtt
-scepter can mounts on fenders (?)
-dual flush int storage boxes
-int sleeping platfor ((?)
-fridge mount
-int rack/storage
-rear fuel tank skid plate
-rear fender corner protection
-dual spares on bumper (?!)

Mike S:
-C service
-4 new halfshafts (or rebuild)
-install tran/tcase temp gauges
-new hvac motor
-alignment!

So maybe I just nipped less than 10% off my list? Seems I am either too busy working to deal with the truck or between jobs and I shouldn't spend the money!
