I had a thread on the other site about shocks & Timgco recommended Rancho 9000XLs...That's what I want, but they just don't fit my budget right now. I was going to get them with my financial aid, but I didn't get as much as I thought I was going to.
So what are some other recommendations that don't cost quite as much? I would even take some lightly used stock shocks off somebodys hands to hold me over until I could afford the Ranchos.

I am currently running Bilsteins and have been happy with them. I have my stock shocks that were taken off roughly at 70k to upgrade to the Bilsteins. I would have to dig them out of storage. But they are yours if you pay the shipping.

I ran the rancho 9000xl's for several years and loved them. I sold them a few months back and put the stock shocks back on while I rework a few things and will most likely go Bilsteins when I am ready. I forgot how terrible the stock shocks were, yuk.

I might take you up on that offer if I can't round up some money in the next few weeks.
Do you have the Bilstein HDs or the 5100s on your truck now?

I went a different route and by no means an economical one. Just received my Fox shocks yesterday and hope to have them installed this weekend. I am not lifted nor do I have the torsion bars adjusted, but Tim (Expedition Hardware) stated these should work fine up to 23.5 if I choose to lift the front. Doubt I would go over 23.25" though. Tim was easy to work with.

Apologies - didn't realize this was in the H2 section.

Anyone have the 9000s with the electronics to change the ride? how well does it work?

Since this thread woke up, quoting my own question in the hopes someone has experience. I do a lot of highway driving, some towing a boat and some offroad. The thought of being able to adjust for those different uses on the fly is incredibly attractive.
