What are the choices of added skid plate protection that we have? I also have no way of getting them welded on so that might be a problem for me if that is needed.
OEM I would say...for the research I did they are tough...an everyone seem to love them...

I run DOI skids and bumper. Matt doesn't produce the skids any more. Next skid I seen that is a true skid is Schwartz. The oem is not skids, they are only considered protection.
Man I would love a set of those skids for the T! too bad it wouldn't work/ isn't available!Here is photo of it, for those who might want ideas

I have never had an issue with cooling. But yes you do have to watch for mud accumulation on the skid.
I love my skid plates, things sure surprise me off-road. I haven't had any issues with mud, or snow building up or heating issues. But as long as you get something your good.
