Snorkel questions??

Im looking to install a snorkel on my 06 I5 and hope you guys could answer some questions

1st do you guys think buying this snorkel i saw on amazon is a good idea or should i save for an arb

2nd how difficult is installation? any tips?

I did this last weekend. The install is easy....until the point that it doesn't line up with the 06 airbox.

i haven't yet, im looking for an 08 up airbox or im gonna something like soldiousJ i don't really see a way to directly attach it to the 06 airbox. i asked for help and no one would chime in

Rubber tube or pvc and a hose clamp?

I'm not sure that would work. It seems that the box itself sits to close to the fender. Idk I haven't messed with it much. I was honestly so disappointed I just slapped the thing back together and called it a day. I'll mess with it next weekend.

I think the part that pulls the air from the inner fender is larger. Mine was super small. Like couldn't fit a golf ball in it small and the snorkel is 3-4 inches.

Doesn't the factory airbox have drain holes?...

it does.....did. i sealed them. i also have the tubing to do all my breathers, but theres no point until i figure out the snorkel issue

Can you take a pic of what the 06 air box looks like I have an 07 and the whole from the air box that goes into the fender is pretty big I wanna see the difference I might en up buying this snorkel as well it is worth fr the price

Look at pic black adapter attaches to the old air box (remove OEM piece)and then u connect hose.
i siliconed adapter to air box +screws.

Yea that think is square on one end and round on the other. My airbox doesn't have a square spot for it to connect to. So for now I have the snorkel on and the robber hose just up over the factory air inlet.
