...might as well start the conversation: Where are we going next?

Johnson Valley?

Death Valley?

Mojave Road?

Let's hear everyone's ideas and suggestions

Johnson valley seems interesting. what trail can we do around there? The hammer trails are really tough.

I would be in for a John Bull run after winter. I gotta get that trail off my bucketlist :)

Zach and I talked to Alex about doing a Sedona run this Spring. I am also planning on Bishop in august but with different trails this year. We also need to revisit Heartbreak Ridge in Big Bear.

I need to get out and do some pre-runs on some new trails and see what is doable with a large group. I still have Nightmare Gulch on my bucket list.

I was hoping to wait until the second week of January to get a project schedule at work so I know what I can volunteer to lead/organize.

I haven't done Heartbreak Ridge yet. I would be up for John Bull again later in the year though and not right after winter and a small group. Also 2N17X. And as Craig said we are going to try and plan a Sedona run.

Unless you already have local knowledge,
For the Mojave Road check this out

The AVI Casino is a great place to stay before starting off. This is the start right up the road.

I would like to do some of the trails around Death Valley with some company I did not get to see but a few.

Anyone want to go ahead and run a trail in big bear snow or snow anyways? I'd like to do a run in Janurary somewhere :) I'm up for Death Valley or Mojave road sometime this spring as well, I'm guessing Mojave road is a 2 day run with a camp out...

I saw that predator and someone on the HML is organizing a run down in Anza Borrego in Feburary including predators recovery test, bringing in an disabled rolled vehicle and teaching vehicle recovery. It's sometime in Feburary, and it's pay to play but that should be an interesting trip to keep in mind for folks who want to bust out their winches.

I went to johnson valley last year in March for the King of the Hammers. there is a lot of area to cover for off roading. However it is about 14 deg at night and 80 deg in the day. I have a friend that lives down the road in joshua tree.

Any plans for feburary?

I'm planning on going to the Hummer Club event in late February but I'm always looking to do something else on the other weekends...

I will not be able to lead anything until after February. I am planning another 2N17X run for March so we can try some of the alternative diamond routes on the return loop. Zach and I need to do another lunch and get plans together and put y'all on the trails!

I liked 2N17X!

Do u have any runs in march or april that are a 35in/locker type difficult trail? I haven't done a super tough one in a while

The last time we ran 2N17X was actually quite challenging. A lot more rutted out than when we last ran it. Some tracks more difficult than others.

We can take suggestions . . .
