So far H2s and H1s have only done the obstacle in terms of hummers. In the past H3s that had 4:1s and lockers didnt have the clearance. I had the clearance but no 4:1 or front locker. Hopefully this time will be better.

Well, the truck came back home least night with a new t-Case installed so there's a pretty good chance I'll be good to go for this run. -Not sure I can wait quite that long though :hans:

I am in the middle of a major maintenance event at work, 14 hour shifts, 6 days a week. So, I will be ready for some down time by then......if we're done at work.

I'm a maybe for this run, it is really close to where I Live "Ontario". I been wanting to get out to the trails but time and capital hasn't allow it, between school, wife, and baby. There's no too much time left for me...but i'll try to make this one run.

I did subman 2 years ago with no problems, but the last trip out earlier this year there was no way I could have done it (even with lockers)without body damage, its more dug out, I think a stock-ish H1 would have a very difficult time doing subman hill now. Someone like Francos or Rons truck can pull it off still.... the big thing is getting enough controllable momentum going up a few steps midway.

Now if I had a 2" body lift and 39" tires I could have probably have done it... :wink:

Remember on The step rear slides to driver side and pushes you against the wall. H1s had a lot of dirt inside bumper and I was using my corner armor to protect that corner.

Well, looks like we have rain forecasted for Friday. I am not ready to pull the plug yet, but this is not a trail I am willing to take in wet weather. Keep an eye on this thread for future posts.

I was starting to wonder about this myself. Are there any other decent trails that some rain wont be a issue? Cleghorn? Something out in Redrock area?

Unfortunately, I will have to work this weekend, (I am writing this now from work AT 5:30AM ON A SUNDAY MORNING). I do have 2 weeks of unwind time in Dec. hope to take the kids snow boarding and off roading. This is a trail on the top of my list.

Cleghorn is certainly safer but will have other challenges that may cause body damage. I have done Celhorn in the rain once before and have a [STRIKE]scar[/STRIKE] trophy on my left rear fender to remind me.

I really want to make sure everyone makes it off the trail safely.

Problem with Cleghorn is we don't really know what off chutes to avoid toward the end of it. That one there in the pic was not good. Craig got me out. But it was TIGHT. And from what I've heard the last section has gotten really tough. And add rain and slick. I'm with Craig. We would need to figure something safe for the group.

Okay, here is a thought . . .

We go ahead and show up to the trailhead as expected. if things are looking bad, we head back into the city and make it a meet-n-greet. We might just hit 2N17 (not X) if we really desire getting some mud on the trucks.

I have fond memories of this day! I was right behind Zach and was convinced we were both going to get new accent lines down our driver sides. BUT, Craig did some excellent and very patient spotting to get us through!
