I agree with all that is said. For my case, I was put as a VP to help take some of the stress of Craig and Zach and I havent done much to help that. I have only done one run so far, that was the snow wheeling Gold Mtn trip with Panzer, Portager and a few others. Timing kinda sucked for me. I had a ton of work needed done to my vehicle and my tires were popping every trip out so I finally fixed the tire problem and because I needed a full overhaul I just jumped to the SAS which drained wheeling money for parts months before as I slowly collected parts and the month to do it. Now that I have 3600 road miles on it successfully now I gotta start testing off road. To boot all the skids I had on stock IFS crossmembers are gone so I gotta make new ones. Its just a long list but I am slowly seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
I agree with Fish, everyone has different needs. We have both ends of the spectrum. Some wanting easier scenic stuff, some continuing the intermediate stuff like LCC, gold mtn, etc and now as these trucks get older we have people wanting to push them and modify them. Panzer seems to have a bug for tougher stuff, We have Serge on 40s and guys like JRWid who have vehicles now that can make a trail like John Bull a piece of cake. Once I am out of the tunnel here with my SAS...Probably by the end of the year I want to start helping out more. I am game for anything. I am happy off pavement. I have no problem doing easier scenic trails and everyone knows I love the tougher trails where winching and breakage is a part of the game. I am game for anything. It also should be easier with work now that my new manager rarely denies time off requests. I should put a put of random saturdays in for 2015 for prerunning and leading trails. I am hoping once my truck is done it will be pretty **** free for a few years before it needs a big overhaul again.
