On Sunday, I heard the WH Chief of Staff say that by cutting stuff in the budget that is not funded, is reducing the amount which could be appropriated, so that is a savings. See watching the Sunday political "sound bite" shows is beneficial.
Let me explain. You need a new truck and the price is $50K. You don't have $50K (so that is an unfunded requirement). Under the "normal" economic plan, you don't buy the truck, oh well. Under Obamanomics or the Washington Economic Spin, if you decide that you need a truck and it costs $50K, but you don't have $50K you can either borrow from the Bank of Peking or you can decide that you can do without a new truck. If you decide that you can do without a new truck, you have just saved yourself $50K in 2012. What the WH Chief of Staff explain is the second part of Obamanomics. By voluntarily cutting the plan to buy a new truck for $50K you have just "saved" $50K. Now isn't that wonderful. See, saving money is easy under Obamanomics.
Unfortunately, this isn't a comedy routine. This is really what the White House has planned.
