Yeah that is a good shot. I attempted to compare them but could only find the complete kit shot. Quite a bit of difference.
You been doing your homework grasshopper!

I just ran out side and took some photos and ruff measurements
The Knuckle is about 16''

The bumper ( Thorparts ) is 26 3/4'' on the front and you can see it tapers down in the back

At the center of the Front Crossmember it is 17 1/2''

Thanks josh! I need to double check but I believe I am at 12 on the front skid and the front skid right below the front crossmember looks like 13

When comparing please note there is a difference in the spelling of two of those other kits.
There is "Tough Country" and "Tuff Country" I don't think the Tough Country is available anymore. I have to check on those names but I think that is correct.
The Tough Country was out of Tennessee and showed an H3 with 37's on it running on a dealers test track. I think they ran into some sort of issue with those.
I'm sure others can help clear this up, meanwhile I will do some looking.

I know these don't show the components but for the sake of discussion and for those that have not seen these, at least on this forum and adds to the data we have.
Tuff Country on 37's. The angle of the photograph adds to a crazy distored larger look of the entire vehicle.

I had this saved that a guy was selling, I believe a Rancho but I do remember this was on 37's.

This is someone I wheeled with on a Tuff Country lift. Had some different size wheels and tires. I might can find out what.

I have posted this also but shows a Rancho on left me in the middle with torsions to 23 1/2 and Tuff Country on right.

Here is all three again where I pulled the foreground angle trick to look big but it shows examples of lift stance.

Hunner, actually its Rough Country. Tough Country made the front and rear bumpers for the H3 (like on the Bully Dog H3) and Tuff Country is the lift. The Tuff Country lift kit is still avaliable and the Rough Country kit is not (I don't think it ever made it into production). The first picture is the Rough Country H3. The second picture is indeed a Rancho (note the angled/notched front drop crossmember).

The skid Plate is 1' 1/2''

My H3 sits on 325/65-18s. I did all the measuring on a gravel drive way so i know they aren't exact but I hope this helps give a little more info about the lift.

Thanks JoshuaL

thanks Josh, while it isnt EXACT it is a good guesstimate. I will check mine now and even if we end up at the same of 12 in. you are at a lot nicer of an angle on the halfshafts

Thanks josh, Maybe the diff drop is more of an optical illusion because it sits alot lower then the bumper but has no real loss of G.C. The measurements are pretty good but I wouldnt say dead on balls accurate. Next rancho liftee should do this to get DEAD ON MEASUREMENTS. First measure everything hangers, hub to fender, crossmember, skid etc. They need to state the PSI in the tires, the size of the tires etc. Then get the lift installed. Go to the same spot where you measured on the Tbar crank and check the psi make sure all the variables are the same and retake measurements. With pics and #'s side by side that would be 100% accurate.

Also who has wheeled a rancho h3 in moab or seen one in moab? how did it do?

Reviving an old thread but I got some news! I will be rancho lifting the H3. I have spent months and months and months searching every corner of the internet for reviews and talking to people about it but now its time to pull the trigger and do it. I will be going through Tim for everything I need with the lift. I will probably have the lift around christmas time, I have been saving up some money but will get the rest I need around the holidays. I will be going on a much cheaper route then a build like reapers but will not cut corners either. People really can make this a way cheaper but still safe route. Heres how...

I plan on running the same 35's on the stock rim. That will save about 2 grand on rims and tires. I will be using a 1 1/2 in spacer. Factory backspacing is 5.83 and that will bring me to 4.33 BS while rancho requires 4.5. If that still is an issue then I will run a 1.75in spacer but I think the 1.5 would be good enough even will aired down. Tim made a good point on airing down. Most of the bulge will be on the bottom of the tire not the top.

I am installing it myself. that will save another 1k. I was gonna install it in my driveway with a couple friends but my one friend who will help me has a lift in his shop so we will be installing it there.

Lastly, Front UCP, I think it cost about 500-600 to get that made from the shop in colorado but I will be making my own custom UCP identical to reapers, it will probably cost 30 bucks for the metal so that will save alot too.

I am pretty pumped for this upgrade. One thing I will be doing is an extremely detailed thread. We have some good info on here for the lift kit but I think we can use some more #'s. I will get every measurement pre lift, rockers, bumpers, spring hangers, crossmember height, front diff height, etc. I also want to do a COG test on it too. Then after driving it around for a week I will drive to the same spot I did pre measurements and get the rancho lifted measurements.

In terms of bringing the tires out I have some soultions for possible weak links. First the tie rods. I will be adding the Hunner sleeve and possibly a 2nd mounting point like hunner did on his 06. That will help the rack. The tie rods will be left alone, if they are breaking then I can sleeve them but I dont think that will be an issue. seeing the knuckle brings them to stock location (even better then when t-bar cranked) CV's will probably be a wash. They may gain stress on having wheels further out but they are level now too. The spacers will be quality and there shouldnt be an issue with them. Many people run them with no issues its all about the quality of the spacer and the installment. While I am taller a wider track width will help.

Once this is installed I will make sure to put this lift kit through hell and back. If its not up to standards it will come off and be resold. I think the added clearance alone will make a already capable rig even more capable. Stay tuned for a thread around new years. I will have #'s, pictures, and reviews on how the lift acts on road, and every type of terrain off road.

This will also on many so cal runs so they can make comparisons too.

All right Chris!! I'm sure you will love the kit and I know you will share as much info (likely more) than you posted above with us for the good of the group. I am very curious to see the whole process! I've always liked lifted 3s. (2s not so much...talk about overcompensation!! Lol!) Maybe someday Barney will grow 4" taller down the road...time will tell!

Looking forward to some status updates!

Excellent!!!! There's nothing like doing it yourself. 4wp did screw up a few things (recoverable, like mounting the joust stops backwards!) and took forever, it would be nice to do yourself if you can. As far as the UCP/armor part: yeah, those front sections are weak as hell from the factory. Beef them up a little when you install them and add crossbars/plates!

You'll love the lift... good call.
