The only distributor here is like 60 miles away. Not sure what the deal was with that. I will check again.
I sort of like the S/T and there was one other more aggressive I think, before going to the STT, but it did not come in 315.

I was checking on tires last week to maybe get another set of STT and my dealer tried to order them from the distributor and they said they are no longer made?
Other than seeing them online in stock has anyone else run into this?
Might be time for me to look into more of an AT with open tread.
I did some searching today and may drop back to this.

I ran across some info that shows the Cepek FCII is a cooper tire on that armor tech carcass and that MasterCraft Courser C/T is as well. I may check into those.

I priced the stt and was told that they were discontinued but still in stock. This was at Farm and Fleet. So I passed on them.

I have a set of ss trxus mt on my old 3/4 ton. Really loved them in the snow and were decent on the highway. Never had to shift in to 4x4 but never played played in the mud either.

if your selling the H1 I wouldnt spend over 1k on tires but thats just me.

Love my BFG TA KO's. Lasted 61k for the first set. On the second set now...

Toyo MTR's are very similar to the Cooper STT. I'm running them on my 2 now and they are fairly well mannered on the road. Locally I can snag the 37x13.5x17 flavor for $375 (+tax).

I would think long and hard about the Goodyear MTR/K, but they cost more for the same size as the Toyo (About $460 locally), which doesn't make sense if you are selling the truck (IMO).

The problem with the BFG all terrains is that they aren't aggressive enough IMO. If I was driving 99% on road and 1% on dirt roads I think they would be the golden ticket but for the tougher trails I feel they will suffer

If you can get them, and if you can get them to balance up. Apparently, they have been having a lot of issues with this, and Goodyear stopped production for a while.

The Dick Cepek FC-II's I ran were great off road, but I never could get them to balance up worth a crap. IMO this is one of the big reasons tire manufacturers have discontinued sizes above 35" on 15" rims.

Its one of those things, that if it sells it sells, and I will upgrade. If it dosent sell, then we will keep it.

I feel that they do well in dry conditions. No matter what the terrain is. However, once they are wet... performance really takes a toll. And don't forget that these tires are unbeatable for their on road comfort.

I used to think that, till I ran the Toyo Open Country A/T, they offer a much smoother ride than the BGF A/T. The Toyo A/T also felt more secure where as the BFG seemed to flex a lot under the weight of the H2. Both are garbage in snow though, IMO. At lower speeds the treads pack up and you're driving on big snowballs. After a couple seasons with the Toyo MT's, Ill never go back to an AT tire, at least while I'm living up here.

Bf goodrich mt km2.

I replaced my mtrs with them on my h1..... Easy to balance, round and I get a aggressive tire with a smooth highway ride.

On the h1 I'd stick with bf Goodrich, toyo and Goodyear...


The rest ? Meh... I went through a lot of different tires on my h1.

UPDATE on my new MTR's. - ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. Cannot comment on treadlife(and I assume it will be slightly less than the duratracs), but wet traction, dirt traction, highway noise levels, and stability are all excellent. MUCH more laterally stable on loose dirt than the Duratrac's I replaced. Could not be happier with the purchase. I had mine siped in the center-section by Discount Tire, and I'm running on the Hutchinson Beadlocks.
